@imbradmiller @automattic @wpengine @WordPress Contribution is nice, but stopping the harm of trademark abuse is far more important for everyone in the ecosystem. It’s not fair for others who follow the trademark to compete when they don’t.

I’ve been pretty quiet about the @automattic and @wpengine drama. Much love to you all. With that said, the hate I see directed towards @photomatt is wrong. Frankly, WP Engine has benefited a lot from @WordPress, and I don’t think it’s too much to ask for them to invest more.

@photomatt @rizaardiyanto This is a feature that is a must for a CMS. It’s common sense. No need to contribute for that.

File Manager plugin in WordPress feels clunky and old. So I'm creating a new File Manager plugin that feels modern and fresh..

Lol just had a client tell me they're leaving WordPress for the GoDaddy website builder because it's easier to use. I'm not even gonna argue with them.

@RinodeBoer @idipanshukr You said AI writes better front-end code than humans, yet you’ve tested Figma-to-Elementor tools yourself. That alone shows how bad AI still is at real front-end work.

@KariposReal @idipanshukr Elementor to code? what do you mean? And who was talking about converting to code using AI in this conversation? I am simply calling myself a no code web developer and designer.

I used to have the dream to become a fulltime educational YouTuber. Making videos, maximum creativity and lots of freedom sounded like a great plan. And I achieved it, which I am proud of. And it is a whole lot of fun. But after living that life for some years now, just being the educational YouTuber starts to feel off. Always performing, always being on top of the latest trends and always having to sound certain… while not doing much real client work myself anymore. I started to feel disconnected from my audience. So in 2026 I’m making a big shift: I’m stepping off the pedestal and back into the arena. This means that I will be doing some client work again: not because I miss the grind or need the revenue, but because I want to stay close to the real battle and struggles. So instead of acting like I have the answers, I will be in the arena myself and document what I’m building, using and learning. Only from those insights videos, tutorials, and digital products will flow. I'm not trying to convince anyone that my way is the best way, I just make it for anyone who likes my way of working, as a fellow solo no-code designer with a one-person agency trying to navigate this changing industry. That's it. I've also come to realise that in this age of AI (where information is becoming cheaper and cheaper) the person behind the message starts to matter more than the message itself. It made me question what "influencer" really means. Let’s make things real and raw again.

@RinodeBoer @idipanshukr I don’t get it. Even Figma to code or Elementor to code is a bad experience. AI isn’t great at converting custom designs into code, and you usually waste more time fixing the mess it creates. You’d honestly be faster just coding it yourself.

@idipanshukr Oh yea, I have no intention to learn code at this point. I think in 2026 its a big waste of time to learn front-end code. Since AI is able to do that much better than humans very soon (if not already). So yes, I will probably stay no-code.

@WordPress Do you actually realize that the reason WordPress is still relevant is because of third-party developers and not WordPress itself? You are the reason why people make fun of it.

@WordPress @WPTutz I don’t understand why you didn’t build your own complete version of ACF instead of wasting time on unnecessary beefs and just copying it.

@WPTutz You’re doing a disservice to your audience. SCF is an official project that has made significant improvements on top of ACF, and will relentlessly compound due to being totally open and attracting better developers.

Today I will be mostly working on a comparison between the most common WordPress Custom Content plugins (think ACF, Toolset, MetaBox, etc.) And, no, I won't be including SCF in the comparison. 🧐

"Flexbox I don't think is a grid in CSS? I don't know exactly how it works. I know just the basics about CSS" I heard this in a live stream today from a guy building a simple bento grid in Elementor. I don't mind hearing things like this from people who are trying to learn. But it's super frustrating to hear this from someone who is actively avoiding learning and is encouraging others to do the same 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

What's the deal with using em based sizing in css. Pixels were just fine. What, in case someone has some obscure browser that can't command plus to increase the size of everything? Just one more way to gatekeep web dev and make it more complicated.

@jordwalke This is very disrespectful. Do you simply not care about accessibility? Just because something is complicated doesn’t mean people with disabilities should be ignored.

@owendesign Do you have any real example websites that you’ve actually built with AI? Because that doesn’t sound real… honestly, it feels a bit made-up.

We're done with WordPress. Our agency is abandoning WordPress development this year for a full AI-driven workflow. The result: websites that are faster to build, smarter to manage, and actually adapt to what clients need... not what a template allows. Most agencies won't make this move for another 2-3 years. By then, their clients will already be behind. If your website isn't AI-driven by 2026, you're going to be left behind. P.S. If you're currently on a WordPress site and a client, we'll still support you, but we're also going to encourage you to upgrade to the future.

@SethRubenstein It’s 2026 — a little too late. I only use Gutenberg for blog posts, but otherwise I don’t understand why development is so slow. Other third-party developers implement this in a day.
