@paulgabrail depends on the game. The team might have a 21-point swing (TD, Pick 6 TD) or the QB might go down. Would the Broncos still lose by 50 next week? In general however I agree with most that if you lose by 40 you will probably lose most of the games.

Ok new poll. Only respond if youre a sports fan and you MUST read the context. Do you have a better understanding of how good an athlete/team you are if you lose to the #2 team by 40+ pts or the #6 team by 1 pt? so which tells you more about your quality? Which would you rather have happen to you or your team to self assess where you stand amongst others? If this is confusing, dont respond. Its hard to fully explain without writing too much.

@paulgabrail Your thoughts are true and legit for people who already have lot of money so you are nt looking for extreme growth but growth plus safety… If you have 50 or 100k saved today and go with all the investments using your approach they would retire poorly… Risk is needed early on.

I will repeat this over and over bc this is what creates bubbles that we see constantly. Whatever you are “investing” in…Come up with YOUR best arguments for why you own it. Then change the price by adding 5 zeroes and then change the price by decreasing it by 90%. If the arguments are still ALL true, then you are NOT investing. You are speculating and banking on the greater fool theory, but you dont realize it. Example would be “Tesla is changing the world in the automotive industry so Im going to own it.” No matter the price of the stock, that is true. Therefore not an investment process. Another example: #Bitcoin is scarce and a great and secure way to transfer money bc of the blockchain technology. Again, its true no matter the price. An investing thesis would be “this company is growing FCF by 8% per year and revenue by 6% per year and has a low debt balance sheet AND their current free cash flow multiple is 8X.” In this example, if you add many zeroes, the last statement is no longer true and completely changes the returns for investing in that company. True investors understand that even the best thing ever created has a price that DOES NOT make sense. But like EVERY bubble in history, it becomes all about the story and less about the numbers and thats a big reason for bubbles being created. I can go on and on. Speculators will never understand this bc, to them, the story is far more important than the valuation. @KarlFenech That could be the case! There are so many reasons stocks fall but i see the comments about pypl and it just feels like people follow the stock price and not fundamentals of the business long-term
