@11point7 Site histories like this aren’t always accurate. Based on the screenshot, looks like they have baseball schedules on their site back to 1983, so that’s what it’s pulling from.

@ScoringChanges I once had my own head coach (college softball) argue for a hit to protect the team’s fielding percentage while the pitching coach was arguing for an error to protect the pitcher’s ERA. We weren’t even the home team so I really didn’t have much say in the matter anyway.

The following a college scoring issue that annoys me greatly. I do not like hearing about college baseball coaches bullying scorers to make changes to protect the ERA of a pitcher, especially when the scorer is a female, and especially when she ruled it correctly (it was forwarded to me this morning, I saw it and it was scored properly). There is ZERO chance, and I mean ZERO that if this ball was hit by the coach’s player, it would be ruled an error. Absolutely none. Bullying by coaches is ridiculous, and it needs to stop. Baseball is for everyone, and there has been tremendous progress in getting more females into scoring. MLB has some great female scorers (Kara in Arizona and Jillian in Colorado come to mind). We don’t need coaches bullying women and making them not feel like there is a place for them in this great game. #RantOver

@sidTIM_ @statsowar Yeah it's definitely not the cleanest, but otherwise it would get pretty wordy on that top header. And yeah you gotta do a little math in your head if you're trying to figure out the specific year, but haven't heard really any complaints since it was implemented.

@DanOwenMN Happy to report that the transfer records document we talked about at Wrigley is done. I took it back to 2021 when players could play right away and didn't have to sit out a year, and then only counted that first season of competition.
