Devon is one of the worst-hit areas for a shortage of NHS Dentists - today I asked the Prime Minister about shocking cases of people in North Devon who have resorted to removing their own teeth. Have you, or somebody you know, experienced a DIY Dentistry Nightmare? I'd like to hear from you: ianroome.uk/end-diy-dentis… It is shocking that in the 21st Century, anybody is forced to perform dental surgery on themselves with pliers, or increasingly, with kits purchased online. I'm working as Chair of the North Devon Dental Steering Group and with my Lib Dem colleagues across the South West to push for an increase in dental student places...because without more dentists, those 700,000 appointments are a long way off.
