The Bicentennial celebration lasted all summer in 1976. 50 calistoga wagons traveled across the country, joining parades as they went, camping at night & cosplaying pioneers. My sister & I spent 3 days & nights with the Washington state wagon as it crossed Idaho that summer.

In fairness my siblings and I were all homeschooled and all we did was get full rides to college, write speeches for presidents, become senior admin officials and decorated war heroes while on the other hand Jennifer Welch has a podcast.
