I feel the only reason behind this is that we are privileged enough to not care about what’s happening in our country.

Talked to so many “well-educated” people around me and no one really cares about voting. The easiest excuse is that they don’t have the voter id in the city they now live in. LOL It took me legit 5 minutes to apply for city change online and the updated id got delivered in 10 days. It’s so fucking easy to act woke and criticise govt while you are not even doing your own part.

A #Dalit colony isolated by administrative negligence and caste discrimination left to suffer with lack of roads, crematorium , drinking water etc near Karambakudi Village of #Pudhukottai district of #Tamilnadu have announced that they are boycotting the upcoming lok sabha elections . And have banned any political party from entering the colony for campaigning. It has to be noted that in the recent RTI done by a human rights organization ,Pudhukottai district in Tamil Nadu ranks number one in #caste violence and discrimination. Also the #Ennore township comprising 33 villages near Chennai have decided to boycott the lok sabha elections due to negligence by the government, State apathy during the Chennai floods and constant exposure to dangerous levels of industrial pollution. They are on the verge of risking their lives by living there. The place has been left unlivable because of various industries concentrated in the region and lack of safety compliance.
