Went fishing in a lake at a lake in my neighborhood today, caught a Largemouth Bass about 19 inches in length (pic below) with my trusty fishing rod and using a artifical crawfish bait. Last time I caught a Largemouth Bass was over 10 years ago. 😆 #fishing

The City of Newport, Kentucky, is adding four additional @Tesla Model Y police vehicles to its fleet. ​The city estimated that its total savings over five years for four Teslas is $148,311. Newport Police Chief Chris Fangman said the Tesla is cheaper and a better product than, say, a more common police vehicle like a Chevy Equinox or Dodge Durango. ​The Newport Police Department first added three Tesla Model 3 vehicles in December 2023 and then requested two more in November 2024 after the success of the first three. In January 2025, Newport requested the Tesla Model Y electric vehicle for use, initially in the planning, development and code departments. Then, in June 2025, the commission approved four more Tesla Model Y electric vehicles for its police fleet. Great to see more Police Departments adding more Teslas in their patrol fleets! It's happening. SpaceX currently has ~18 job postings surrounding Starlink Mobile. Starlink V2 satellites will enable 5G speeds to mobile devices anywhere in the world. This will be a game changer. Elon mentioned a roughly two year timeframe for phone manufacturers to integrate the necessary chipsets/modem support so that new phones can take full advantage. Once rolled out, you will be able to watch videos anywhere on 5G.

This action will presumably assist with facilitating access to systems and records required by the custodian in order to conduct court-ordered objectives. Over 70 Cybercabs in the Giga Texas outbound lot today in three major areas & driving around! I think this is now the largest single gathering of Cybercabs I’ve observed! I’m also trying to gauge if the $59K @Cybertruck production is underway & although there are more in the outbound lot in several different locations, it is really hard to tell. Honestly, I would like to see a lot more coming out of the factory if we will begin seeing deliveries beginning next month, if that is still the plan, but for now the production rate still seems a bit modest. I know they are working hard to ramp up at the same time they are also trying to ramp up Cybercab production.

Tesla has reportedly submitted plans for a carwash dedicated for Robotaxis in Las Vegas. The permit, filed with Clark County on May 12th, describes "Tesla Center Cybercab Phase 2 Car Wash." According to the project description, the work involves interior and exterior improvements to an existing facility, including the construction of a car wash enclosure, relocation of tire service equipment, and the installation of power raceways. The city of Covington, Kentucky, is adding seven @Tesla Model Y patrol vehicles to its Police fleet, replacing seven gas-powered vehicles. According to research sponsored by Covington, switching to EVs will save the city about $23,000 in fuel and maintenance costs in a year. The NHTSA has just officially announced that the 2026 @Tesla Model Y is ​the first ​vehicle model to pass ⁠the agency’s new ​advanced driver assistance ​system tests. 2026 Tesla Model Y vehicles, manufactured on or after Nov. 12, 2025, successfully met the new criteria for four newly integrated advanced safety tests: • Pedestrian automatic emergency braking • Lane keeping assistance • Blind spot warning • Blind spot intervention “Today’s announcement marks a significant step forward in our efforts to provide consumers with the most comprehensive safety ratings ever,” said NHTSA Administrator Jonathan Morrison. “By successfully passing these new tests, the 2026 Tesla Model Y demonstrates the lifesaving potential of driver assistance technologies and sets a high bar for the industry. SpaceX/xAI has just announced that it has signed an agreement with Anthropic to provide access to its Colossus 1 supercomputer. "Anthropic plans to use this additional compute to directly improve capacity for Claude Pro and Claude Max subscribers. As part of this agreement, Anthropic also expressed interest in partnering to develop multiple gigawatts of orbital AI compute capacity. The compute required to train and operate the next generation of these systems is outpacing what terrestrial power, land, and cooling can deliver on the timelines that matter. Built from the ground up in record time, Colossus delivers unprecedented scale for AI training, fine-tuning, inference, and high-performance computing workloads. Colossus 1 features over 220,000 NVIDIA GPUs, including dense deployments of H100, H200, and next-generation GB200 accelerators. The cluster delivers extreme parallel performance for large language models, multimodal systems, scientific simulations, and generative AI at frontier scale. I think this is smart for SpaceX/xAI, as it seems to have some excess capacity as Colossus, so why not make a some money on the side by renting that compute capacity out.
