Sadiq Khan said he would protect the Green Belt - now he is planning to concrete over it. He said he wants a Brownfield first, but he won't enforce it. Broken promises and empty words. Londoners deserve better.

Not only have Reform broken their promises to the people of Kent with higher taxes and higher spending, they’re now stifling debate on Kent County Council. On Thursday 7th May, don’t let them do the same to Bromley.

Sadiq Khan made a promise to Bromley residents that we would retain our 24-hour Police front counter. When I raised their decision to close the front desk all the Minister could do was talk about the Mayor who left office in 2016. Labour simply do not understand Outer London.

There was a time when the Leader of @Kent_cc (Britain's largest County Council) started a meeting with the words, "Good Morning". Last Thursday, we faced this. Some might find it amusing. I think most Kent residents will find it vulgar or even offensive.

Hi @Keir_Starmer What happened to “Labour would freeze your council tax”? Or “Not a penny more on your council tax…No ifs, no buts”? Many people across the country are opening letters for higher council tax bills. Labour deserve the local election annihilation coming in May.

🚨 If Reform can’t run Worcestershire… how can they run Britain? Nigel Farage now says Reform “regret” taking control of Worcestershire County Council. No one forced them to stand. They campaigned on cutting waste and reducing taxes. Instead residents got one of the biggest council tax rises in the country – nearly 9%. So what happened? ⸻ Let’s remember the facts. Under the previous Conservative administration Worcestershire delivered around £60m of savings in two years while continuing to invest in services. Reform promised they could do better. Instead we’ve seen: • Internal division • Rushed decision making • A Deputy Leader resigning publicly citing lack of action • And now Nigel Farage saying they wish they hadn’t taken control ⸻ Farage has even described Worcestershire as a “basket case”. Let’s be clear. Worcestershire is not a basket case. It’s a county of hardworking residents, businesses and communities who deserve serious leadership — not excuses from politicians who suddenly realise governing is harder than shouting slogans. ⸻ Here’s another inconvenient truth. The current leader of the council was a Conservative councillor until March 2025 before switching parties shortly before the election. So when Reform claim they inherited a mess… they are effectively blaming themselves. ⸻ Running a council is not the same as running a protest movement. It involves difficult decisions about: • social care • children’s services • infrastructure • long-term finances Serious politicians deal with those challenges. Populists complain when reality arrives. ⸻ Nigel Farage has spent years criticising governments from the sidelines. But the moment Reform has to actually run something — even one county council — the story changes from: “We’ll fix it.” to “We wish we hadn’t bothered.” ⸻ So here’s the question voters should ask. Achieved without the anti-car measures. Sadiq Khan should learn from, not lecture, councils like Bromley.

Yesterday, @Nigel_Farage tried to claim that Reform "never once" promised to cut council tax. Well, they did. And we kept the receipts.

Nigel Farage admits Reform controlled Worcestershire Council is a 'basket case' and claims he didn't say they'd cut taxes. Yes you did, Nigel. You promised to 'reduce waste and cut your taxes' on your local election leaflets. You haven't - so are you a liar or a failure?

Reform are running Worcestershire County Council because they promised they would reduce waste and cut taxes. They are now planning on increasing taxes by up to 10% in Worcestershire. A Worcestershire Reform Councillor resigned live on air today because of this.
