When you marry an older woman and she gives birth to your child, that child will not be brilliant because the child was born with old dead cells from an old cargo. Doctors in the house can verify this, A child born to an old woman is always dull and liable to amount to nothing, the younger the better. What do you think? If there was a prior agreement, then this is a breech of trust. If she has been a good wife, allowing his fears do this to her isn’t fair. By chance she finds her way to America & gets sponsored by family (which happens at times), that marriage is over. Before you support him, flip the script.

What happened in Yauri, Kebbi State is not just tragic, it is a complete collapse of responsibility. This is the complete story. A pregnant woman carrying twins was taken to a private clinic where doctors advised that she could not deliver naturally and needed a Caesarean section (C-S). Acting on that advice, her family rushed her to the General Hospital in Yauri for the procedure where they explained everything to the hospital staff, expecting urgent care. Instead, she was given an injection and abandoned. No monitoring. No follow-up. No care. She was left alone in the ward, when her condition worsened, she fell from the bed and with no help in sight, had to crawl by herself out of the room to reach her relatives. In pain and desperation, she called her husband begging him to come and take her away because the hospital staff did not care. When her husband arrived, he found her completely unattended while medical personnel sat in another room, distracted and disengaged. Then came the most unforgivable moment. As Friday prayers approached, the doctor finally appeared, glanced at her condition and casually said he would return after prayers to perform the surgery. He left for the mosque while a woman in critical condition was struggling for her life. Before he returned, she died. This is not just negligence. This is institutional failure. This is a system that has lost all sense of urgency, compassion and duty. No religion permits abandoning a dying person. Saving life is a higher obligation than any ritual. The Kebbi State government must be held accountable. Hospitals are underfunded, poorly supervised and staffed with people who do not act like professionals entrusted with human lives. This is the direct result of failed governance, weak oversight and lack of investment in healthcare. If leaders cannot protect the most vulnerable pregnant women seeking care then they are failing at the most basic duty of government. This cannot be ignored. This cannot be normalized. Someone must answer for this and the system must change. We can't continue like this.

My customer raised her meatpie from ₦1,000 to ₦1,500 because of JAMB. Today she called me back. There's a big JAMB centre close to my house. Last week, the whole area was crowded with students. On Friday, I went to buy meatpie from her shop - right opposite the centre. She returned my money and said the price had gone up. I asked why. She gestured at the crowd casually. "See the crowd na." It didn't make sense to me. So just because of JAMB principalities and new powers coming to the area for a few days, I should pay additional 50% for same quality and quantity of meatpie? I asked her to sell at the normal rate and she jokingly refused. I didn't argue. I left. This afternoon, I walked past her store on my way to school runs. She called out to me with a melodious voice. "Madam, come and buy." I asked how much. "It's now the normal price. ₦1,000." I looked around sarcastically. I'm sure my face betrayed me as usual. 😂😂😂😂 JAMB had finished. The crowd was gone. Everywhere was quiet. JAMB students are traffic. I am a customer. She forgot the difference. Traffic passes through. Customers come back - or they don't. I laughed in Kiswahili. Has this ever happened to you? Did you go back or did you leave for good? ©Abigael Oyebola

FOLIC ACID is NOT just a blood tonic for pregnancy. That picture is what happens when a baby’s spine doesn’t close properly, spina bifida. This damage happens in the first 3–4 weeks of pregnancy, before most women even know they’re pregnant. No drugs can reverse it. But a simple daily folic acid tablet taken BEFORE and during pregnancy can prevent most cases. This is one disability we can stop before it starts. Let’s explain spina bifida in plain language:

From my DM. Good evening, sir. I'm really sorry for entering your DM like this. I've been meaning to message you since last year, but I was always hesitating. Now that I'm planning to go back home soon, I need your advice on how to approach things. I'm 24 years old, my father's first child, I finished serving last year, and I'm currently staying with a relative. Growing up, my father was very strict; you couldn't approach him unless it was for educational purposes, although my mum made sure she stepped up for the other things. We were comfortable while growing up, but since my dad retired, things have been hard. Before my dad retired, my mom established a school, and that was basically our source of livelihood for the first few years until issues started coming up. The genesis of the issue is that my dad wants to be a signatory to the school account, but my mom said she can't allow that. Her reason is that she has been running the school for years and it's been going well. Allowing my dad to be a signatory will limit her because if my dad does not support anything she needs money for, she won't be able to get the money. My dad said his highest investment is the school. My mom said the school was her idea, and it's her hard work and efforts that have kept the school standing till today, so she can't do what my dad is asking for. This issue has been going on for about 3 years now, and even family members from both sides have talked to them. They urged my dad to let it go, but he refused. Now my mom bears the cost of everything in the house, from my sister's school fees down to the food. My dad complains that my mom doesn't have regards for him anymore, she doesn't give him good food, he said he has lost a lot of weight while my mom is getting fatter and the truth is my mom has always been fat and he is slim. The main issue now is that I'm going back home after over a year, and I want things to get better. I talked to him last week, I complained about lots of things, and he said it's not his fault that he doesn't have any money. But my mom has mentioned that he has some lands and unfinished buildings. I just want to seek your advice on how to approach things when I get home. Our house is not in good condition either. I feel like he might listen to me if I approach him carefully. Thank you very much, sir. End.

“I don’t like when Mr Eazi is àngry with me… he won’t talk to me for days and when I ask, he says everything is fine then he’ll go to another room and send me a long email of everything he’s angry about… While I was reading it, my body was already becoming h0t. So at some point, I can’t even read because I’m so ángry. Because imagine I’ve asked this guy 10 times, are you up.s£t with me? Are you up.s£t with me? he said nothing. So honestly, if you’re in the same flat as someone, don’t you think it’s a bit childish to not go up and speak to them? I don’t know why he can’t just shout at me instead…” - Popular Nigerian actress and fashion entrepreneur Temi Otedola has sparked reactions online after opening up on her relationship with singer Mr Eazi, revealing how he behaves when he is upset.

"I woke up around 6 am to an OPay alert of ₦4,800,000 received. From someone I don’t know. 5 minutes later… a private number called me. Omo, I think I’m in trouble. The man said he mistakenly sent the money to me. I told him to send the account so I can refund. He did… but the name didn’t match the original sender of Noah Kechi OKafor. That’s when I got uncomfortable. Now he’s calling me repeatedly with a private number, pressuring me. I told him to send the original account that sent the money… Since then, silence on that. I haven’t touched the money. What should I do? I really need help before it get out of hand...." – A Nigerian man has taken to social media to seek advice after receiving a surprise credit alert of ₦4.8 million from an unknown source.

A 33 year old single mother indicated interest to be connected to a 38 year old man. I sent her message to the man where she give a brief of herself. The man said he would like to connect with her. I then asked him if he was okay with the fact that she is a single mother, as stated in her message. The man then replied that he would pass. I told him that I did not say he should not connect with her, but I just wanted to be sure that he had read her message properly. Did I do anything bad? End.
