Well it’s my bday again. And for my bday you can do three things: 1) donate to @SeedMob, @dhadjowa or #sistersinside 2) you can send me a photo of your pet 3) you can look at this gorgeous temperate rainforest bday cake I made for myself because I’m a beautiful fucken genius

How military practitioners and organisations get better; working together to encourage ongoing intellectual debate about failure. Illuminating read from the always insightful @dmacdonald77.

It was a pleasure to work with the team of the Australian Journal of Defence and Strategic Studies. David W. Cameron's book is a reminder of the difficulties of prosecuting war, and the human cost involved. The stories and insights are still in my mind, months after I read it.

Readers wanting to know more about this time period will find excellent source material in The Battles for Kokoda Plateau, writes @KateTollenaar in her review for #AJDSS. defence.gov.au/ADC/Publicatio… #ForTheFutureWeLearn

Another insightful and practical article in the 'Propel Her' series. Meeting imposter syndrome head on, and with positivity, lessens its power and prevents 'paralysis through overanalysis'. Thanks @LyndsayFreeman8 @ShamsaLea
Grounded Curiosity@GroundCuriosity

Think back to all your greatest achievements. Did you feel proud of what you had just accomplished, or like a fraud who just got lucky? Could it be imposter syndrome? | @LyndsayFreeman8 & @ShamsaLea are back with Part 5 of #PropelHer groundedcuriosity.com/imposter-syndr…

The @Strategy_Bridge is very pleased to host several excellent articles on Women, Peace & Security by @JohnsonFreese @AN_Goldstein @jawittwer & @KateTollenaar for any institution's strategic or security studies curricula. #LSEWPS They can be found here: thestrategybridge.org/search?q=Women…
Joan Johnson-Freese@JohnsonFreese

Very pleased @NavalWarCollege is incorporating Women, Peace & Security into core curricula this year. More PME considerations needed in academic discussions. #LSEWPS

@maz_jovanovich 'We have to be more reflective about what power is, what it is for, and how it is measured...we have no template for what a powerful woman looks like, except she looks rather like a man'. Such an important book.
