Today I speak as the sister of U.S. Navy veteran Christopher James Bush. Chris fully supported and deeply admired the President of the United States. @POTUS @realDonaldTrump , When he was brutally murdered in May 2021 in Guanaja, Honduras, a different administration was in power. I have no reason to stay silent. For more than five years, I have stood alone telling the truth and fighting to make sure the world knows about this cruel tragedy. In my opinion, the previous Democratic administration left many serious problems unresolved. Knowing that an American citizen had been murdered in a country as corrupt as Honduras, I never saw the urgency or response that any family would have expected. While others moved on with their lives, I continued fighting so my brother’s case would not be forgotten. That is why I want to express my respect for the current U.S. government. I truly believe that in 2026 my brother Christopher James Bush’s remains will finally be brought home, so he can rest in peace in the country where he was born and proudly served. The day that happens, I believe it will show that this administration chose to address issues that had been left unresolved for years. I have carried these feelings inside me for a long time, and today I felt I needed to say them. No one, absolutely no one, should ever be above the law. The lives and safety of American citizens must always come first, and justice should never depend on who is in power.
