@sjlyons50 @TheNextDecade @reprinted3D @AndrewASink Yea, you aren't kidding about the severity! 😱 I also tried to adapt the scan of my own L5/S1 herniated disk last year, and it is WAY harder to clean up a scan of this area than one of a big bone like a tibia or skull. That said, I used an open source software called Slicer!

Back update: got my MRI images from January (cmon) and can FINALLY see my insides more closely. MAN its worse than we thought Also Im looking to convert some of the 3d models from the images into a print. Anyone have experience with that?

@alexgibson3d Yea, I held off as long as I could, but between the block function basically being removed and the AI stuff, I'm just not sure I can stay. Our corner of Twitter has always felt better, safer, but if I can't feel safe on Twitter, I can't be here. :(

@theavalkyrie Mate I had to hobble into urgent care once because I thought I'd pulled my butt. It is not fun. It was also worth it though because I actually had a prolapsed disk in my spine and I wouldn't have known otherwise. 🙃 Doctor might be smart.

@MakeAugusta @theavalkyrie Okay, but this is DECIDEDLY untrue. It's based on this idea that we all have the same pain tolerance and we don't. I've broken two bones that did not result in enough pain for tears. Pain is not a reliable diagnostic tool.

@theavalkyrie If you’re not crying, it’s likely not broken. A bruised tailbone is miserable for sure, but goes away in four to seven days. Drink water. Take vitamins.
