@shroppiemon @Teamgrassroots_ Well if the kids can have skibidi in the dictionary, then this definitely qualifies 😂

@Teamgrassroots_ Maybe we should get dictionaries to introduce the word “mannon” - a cry in sport to warn of an opposition player approaching

COACH asking for advice, "Man on or NOT"
I'm a new coach with a girls U11 team who started this year, this might sound really silly but I don't want to upset anyone, I grew up with using the term man on, as a warning a player was close by. I haven't used it yet as I try to shout the players name, shout look out, or if I can think quick enough Player on, ironically all the girls on the team actually do say Man on. Am I overthinking this and should I say Man on, or avoid it? Thanks in advance
English

@Teamgrassroots_ I would ask the players and they will almost certainly say man on is fine. It's not always straightforward - I try and avoid calling players (adults) girls even though I'd call adult men "lads" and they call each other girls and say it's fine if I do.

@Teamgrassroots_ I play for a woman's team and a majority of us say man on. Only one player opts for "person on" and and I feel it's too long to say just to be politically correct. I would ask the team for a vote. I think you'll find they will go for "man on" as it's quicker to say. Good luck
