@GarbageHuman24 What’s funny his wife has three baby daddies

"Historically", this would have been ruled no goal on the ice and no goal on review (due to lack of conclusive evidence to prove (ie. completely see) the puck across the line, "common sense" and "logic" didn't enter the equation, despite there being good reasons they should. There are even examples this season. The inconsistency is what I'm having issues with, if anything. I'm all for getting calls right, and this in my view was ruled correctly.
English

I haven't commented on this until now. "Logic" all of a sudden enters the equation as a valid means for calling goals "good", despite overwhelming history to the contrary.
Some simple facts from this goal:
- No official was in position to make this call on the ice, it should have been ruled no goal on the ice. That's just the facts. No ref was below the hash marks or anywhere close enough to conclusively call it in. No signal was made to this effect. Positioning failure should not result in one team being effectively penalized for that.
- When such cases are ruled no goal on the ice, you need overwhelming conclusive evidence the puck completely crossed the line. Last I checked AI removals of objects and drawing circles around the puck aren't part of the situation rooms process.
- If the league has a additional view that was used in this decision, that should be publicized.
- It is my opinion that this puck completely crossed the line, but based on how these calls have historically gone, the process that has been used until now was tossed in the trashcan. So while the calls result is ultimately what we want from the on-ice product, the process that has been used up until now was completely thrown out the window. The league has a bit of soul-searching to do here and I believe this is a reasonable point to be perturbed with from the Oilers perspective.
You can get the call right, and the process wrong, which means they need to change the process. Changing it on game 86 of the season is not the time.

For once it’s nice that logic prevailed. We all know this puck is fully across.

@Apariciojj @zakfromdahood True but he also could have a bad diet. Plenty of pro athletes are chubby because their training doesn’t outweigh a bad diet. Genetics do play a part though
English

@zakfromdahood Zherk is right to some to extend. Take pro boxer David Benavides for example. If you look at his body he is not shredded nor does he really look like your standard fighter. Genetics do play a big part.
English

@emuskanity @SirajAHashmi The internet has desensitized people to everything. This is heartbreaking for the husband. This is suicidal shit.
English

@vanderscott607 @stoolpresidente @PeteBlackburn Yeah let’s just ignore she named her son after the guy she was banging….prolly easy to avoid that name given there are millions of available names.
English

@stoolpresidente @PeteBlackburn Her brother is named Micheal too….its quite a common name. Prolly can relax on that one.
English

@BurgMcBurger @cmittens1 @stoolpresidente I know people are mocking her but the husband is getting caught in the crosshairs too. Genuinely one of the saddest things a man can go through. A cheating wife, public knowledge, and naming a kid after the guy she cheated with that could reasonably be his. Insane.

@Shakesth3clown3 @TheCinesthetic Except it’s still ambiguous. His quote at the end shows maybe he was sane. There are some inconsistencies throughout the movie to suggest this.
English

@TheCinesthetic My wife called it right away, she spoiled it for me because after she told me what she thought was really going on I realized she was correct and then it was so obvious through the rest of the movie.

@MoMan_9 @samtripoli @jakeshieldsajj Because it would undermine the right to Israel if they did not come from that area. That’s the argument.
English

@samtripoli @jakeshieldsajj My question is, what makes it different? They're still following the book. What's wrong if they're not the same line of blood or tribe?
English

@TedStarkey Was getting annoyed with my timeline being flooded with Caps fans running the numbers for the past week or two.
English

@phmatta0410 @crosbyhistory87 Dude literally needs to be medicated. Imagine existing like this.
English

@Jusisnottaweeb2 @nhlpens I love how Caps fans will say PIT had the better teams since they have 3 Cups, then discount their own President’s trophies in an attempt to say “Cups matter more,” which in a roundabout way proves Pens fans points
English

Ahh yes Alex Ovechkin's support was bottom 5 in the league. So bad that they won SEVERAL president trophies.
I hate that narrative. It only exists because 87 and Co have 3 chips.
Ovechkin had better teams than Crosby.
Better teams on paper don't win cups.
Kim Jong Bettman@KimJongBettman
@Rangers91Z Easy to win when the supporting cast you have is still an elite team without. Ovechkin’s support is a bottom 5 team in the league. Crosby’s is top 5
English

@Kayzee112008 @ThePhillyBird @MoneyPuckdotcom Second part isn’t really true. If caps win out, they only need help from the flyers. They own the tiebreaker over NYI and they play CBJ
English

@ThePhillyBird @MoneyPuckdotcom Because any regulation loss by WSH or PHI win would eliminate WSH. And they are also battling with CBJ and NYI.
English

@crosbyhistory87 Just watch the games and take them as they come. They have a 7% chance to make it…that’s terrible. If they make it, who cares?
English

@TedStarkey Rose-colored glasses. NYI and OTT both winning. CBJ only down 1-0. PHI losing only really matters if the others also lose.
WSH needs to go 3-0 and hope everyone elses also loses, which doesn’t work when NYI and OTT play each other.

@theficouple I’m in this situation, the solution is to buy a house in a cheaper city. You can nearly buy a house cash with your equity that may be bigger than your current home. i.e., you have $250k in equity and find a house for $300k at 6% and either dip into savings or have small mortgage.
