@elleb814 @wil_da_beast630 I specifically mean. Progressive leftists call a trans-woman a woman to elicit woman social protocols and anti-abortion people call a fetus a human being to elicit the moral protocols we normally apply to them. They both do it to avoid the hard work of persuading others.

The great post-modern error is the glib assumption that words themselves not only describe but define reality: if you call a wolf a rabbit, it is. No, it damned well isn't.

@NinosMaron @otmeahij @VivekGRamaswamy It is not subjective, the way Truth is defined. But Truth is something that will always remain a Work-in-Progress, a Platonic unattainable ideal to always inch closer to, to aspire to. What generally passes for truth in the world is Always opinions and self-serving narratives.

NPR’s new CEO: “Our reverence for the truth might be a distraction getting in the way of finding common ground & getting things done.” This gets to the heart of the cultural divide in the modern West: whether you believe truth is a priority or a hindrance

@WeAllNeedJesus1 Furthermore, that personhood is only a legal status. 'personhood' in that sense is not the same thing as person as a human-being. What matters much more regarding ethical issues is not the former, but the latter. The pro-aborts argument is logically flawed.

Pro-aborts: US law doesn’t recognize personhood until someone is born. So someone isn’t a person until he is born! Me: US law recognized slaves as only 3/5 of a person. Was that accurate? Were slaves only 3/5 of a person? Pro-aborts: Crickets

@Mankosmash @wil_da_beast630 More precisely, human capital investment matter a lot more than before which means longer education period, extended period of socioeconomic minor status (no economic independence). If everybody can get a decent job without college education, ppl will marry earlier again.

@wil_da_beast630 Correlation not causation. People don't get married until they want kids. They're delaying kids for material reasons & feminism.

@DanFriedman81 @wil_da_beast630 Low fertility means aging population. Think about what would happen to economy and productivity of the labor force if 20s to 50s were to get killed all of sudden one day and 80% of the population is 60s or older.

@leisetritt @wil_da_beast630 Isnt it weird every great civilization ever konwn to us is all male-dominated one without any exception? It's kinda like every civilization ever known to us is hierarchical society (including socialist/Marxist countries in the 20th century which were a very serious attempt

The elephant in the room with "separatist feminism," "fem-dom," etc is that men are twice as big and aggressive as women, and make up 88% or so of human warriors. We're mostly not assholes, and are very cool with legal equality - but there will almost certainly never be a system where a ruthless and armed female elite subjugates hapless men...who respect some set of made-up rules too much to just revolt and take over.

@leisetritt @wil_da_beast630 That really means the US will collapse in the long run, if the trends continue. Whether you like it or not, civilization is a by-product of masculinity and no civilization can perish and last long unless it succeeds to utilize male labour power.

I had a great discussion with @ChrisWillx, including his theory that boys and young men are being "sedated out of their status seeking and reproductive" efforts by a combination of "social media, video games, and porn." Yes! That's Ch 7 of TAG. youtube.com/watch?v=SeShvz…

I’m watching Gilmore Girls. I wish I lived in a village where everyone knows everyone, is kind, caring & supports everyone in the village, that is within 30 from a city with all amenities. My experience in a small town is more like Mean Girls meets Deliverance

@KebyJr People who say “I can’t get pregnant” get asked “have you considered adoption or fostering”, fostering a child comes with issues that don’t exist with your own child, inc poss of brain damage from substance abuse & involvement of bio parents - not every1 wants to deal with that

For anyone who needs to hear this: don’t ask people why they never had kids, many people can’t & they don’t want to have a long painful conversation with you about why. & no, they don’t want to raise someone else’s child, that involves complexities that not everyone can cope with
