Thanks to developmental impact fees for public works equipment, the County was able to purchase two new dump trucks without using a penny of property taxes. Impact fees are completely paid by new development and can be used for capital purchases with 10 year or longer lifespans.



Our opening dedication ceremony for the Historic 1898 Courthouse and its new life as our local Visitor Center, Development Office and Cultural Center will begin on May 7th, 2021 at 1:30 PM. We invite the interested public to attend this short ceremony and tour the interior.
