Am I wrong in thinking even HW3 would allow a sensor (boosted original sonar at best, or a laser solution?) at the front which could be used intermittently (power-saving) to rapidly switch on as a tar snake is detected through video input, then potentially cancel an erroneous swerve?

Is this coming to HW3 FSD? IDK if my reports are actually being submitted or read! Tar snakes have been a recurring nightmare for me personally. I wonder if the original sonar on HW3 vehicles could be boosted (> 12') beyond the front bumper and could tell if there is an actual obstruction far enough ahead, to simply verify that a stain on the road won't spell the automobile's doom?
