Whenever I saw this imbecile's ugly comics it was always either from liberals or by himself. While still being unsufferable, great moments in leftism was still an intraleft thing (at least it resonated to a certain specific [retarded] left current). It really tells a lot.

@After__History Also, contrary to what you try to portray, Chinese knew exactly what type of person Bukharin was, that's why Bukharin is quite popular in China since reform and opening up.

@After__History What Lars Lih "believes" has no importance as what he defended at that time was obvious (that also Lih had to confess). Him framing it "temporary", "taking a step-back" etc. was him trying to be in line with Lenin. Of course he wouldn't say "fuck socialism".

There is no evidence that Bukharin had any desire to establish a "permanent NEP." His writings clearly show that he viewed market policy as a sign of backwardness to be overcome quickly as possible. Deng framed his market approach as an open-ended strategy, not temporary retreat. Bukharin quite explicitly outlined the necessity of a unitary, rational, and fully planned economy, viewing the NEP as an unpleasant short-term compromise needed to realize that goal

Leftcoms really should defend China more. It's actually existing Bukharinism, it's a state that is in an endless NEP phase like he argued for, it's their dream nation.

@XsaizzyX @ireallyhateu2 @_ZachFoster Ottomans also had capitulations and Duyun-i Umumiye (an institution founded due to Ottoman Debts) was a controlling force over the Ottoman economy, so they tried to keep it close with any kind of banker or European power.

@XsaizzyX @ireallyhateu2 @_ZachFoster Ottomans brought private property on land, peasants had no money for taxes so they let other people register it on them, and that other people (mostly Lebanese rich Arabs) sold it to European Jews because they had no interest.

@juche0071 @JucheMaxing Not that I don't agree with it, but it is just a fact that it isn't credible. In fact, very possibly a fake document. For similar pseudo-Jiang apocrypha, one can check Revolutionary Worker issues from 1980-1984.

“China opened the door but forgot to put up the mosquito net”, Kim Il Sung told Andy Brooks in 1990, referring to the Tiananmen crisis. A coded message by Mieczysław Dedo, Polish ambassador in Pyongyang, from 9 June 1989 summarizes the DPRK view on the matter:

🔻 What happened in #Tiananmen Square on 4 June 1989 wasn't actually an "unprovoked massacre" as western media portray it. A part of the so-called "pro-democracy" students' movement was actually funded and coordinated by the US and Britain. 🔻 The Chinese authorities had tolerated the protesters by allowing them to occupy Tiananmen Square for six weeks. Before the crackdown, the leadership of the CPC had tried in vain to negotiate with them. 🔻 The 1989 events in #China were closely linked to the counterrevolutionary changes in the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe. Western imperialists expected the Chinese government to be toppled by pro-Western political forces. 🔻 The economic reforms ("market socialism") that were implemented by Deng Xiaoping and his supporters cultivated the ground for the growth of a pro-capitalist, counterrevolutionary movement within China.

@redbooks1966 This guy represented Brazilian party in Europe. I think he was in France or something like that. He was also a total dick and antagonizing to "non-offical" parties and groups.
