@notch @MugenLord I'm pretty sure people pirating old games are a completely different group than people who pirate modern games. There's no world in which the guy who downloads Pokemon Red to remember his childhood is the same as the one who downloads Tears of the Kingdom instead of buying it.

If you're pirating old games, you're more than likely pirating modern games too. Let's stop this narrative, you want to play games without having to pay for them. These are the same Niggas that pirated Tears of the kingdom before it released. If you are pirating games so you don't have to pay for them is what you do, then, own up to it. Stop trying to create a narrative to justify pirating. Growing up, everyone I knew in school, were pirating and burning games on disc. None of them were saying they were preserving games. My friends and everyone else bragged over the fact that they got games for free without having to pay for them. It's not something I'm into but I respect that they were honest as to why they are pirating.

Video game preservation is extremely important, otherwise so many masterpieces will be lost to time, and that's just not okay.
