@ENJU1123PIPI I’m not sure but if I had to guess, the real shinobi probably tried to blend in by looking like peasants or other normal people at the time. It’s my best guess that the black outfit probably came from artistic license, since the identities of the shinobi were mostly unknown.

I heard shinobi were a real mix of history and legend. There absolutely were specialists in espionage and sabotage (some of them samurai themselves), and organized traditions like Iga-ryū and Kōka-ryū ninjutsu existed. But the classic all-black outfit, endless shuriken, and ninja-vs-samurai trope is mostly later fiction and movies.

Japanese people are too weak against the word “limited.” Seasonal limited. Region limited. Convenience store limited. Limited flavor. Limited package. Limited time only. Put “limited” on almost anything in Japan, and suddenly people start thinking, “Maybe I should buy it now.” Even if it is just chocolate. Even if it is just chips. Even if it is a drink that tastes like some fruit from one small town. Japan did not invent limited editions. But Japan turned them into a national weakness. We know it is marketing. But “limited time only” still wins. Every time.

@tanpukunokami Leftists and Marxists operate with an inverted morality where politics is their religion. Everything is filtered through an oppressor/oppressed lens, so they name-call and label dissenters until they seize power.

Why do leftists around the world hate their own countries so much? They mock their own culture. They laugh at their own people’s concerns. And the moment someone tries to protect their country, they call them racist. Then somehow, they still think they’re the good guys. So it wasn’t just Japan. Leftists are an embarrassment everywhere.
