Kenya China economic and trade association held ‘My China Story’competitionon Friday in Nairobi, Kenya. Participants spoke of their experiences working with Chinese companies, and some of the benefits of the Belt and Road Initiative.

A brand new McedoBeijing school！

The MCEDO Beijing school has been without electricity for 15 years due to the lack of electricity supply and payment problems throughout Mathare's slums. Yocean Group Limited, member of KCETA，donated the EPC project worth Ksh.5.82 million with battery storage capacity of 20kWh。

The Kenya China Economic and Trade Association (KCETA) on 14th Feb. 2023 donated about Sh 13.46 million to Mcedo Beijing School in Mathare Slum, Nairobi to finance its renovation , solar system,and student meals.

Kenya is committed to strengthening its mutually beneficial bilateral relations with China, expanding trade and exploring various areas of partnership between our two nations.

On December 02, 2022, the Kenya China Economic and Trade Association handed over to President Ruto a cheque of 10 million Shillings at State House Nairobi. The cheque will be deposited with the National Drought Mitigation Appeal Fund for drought relief work.

Recently, the cultural exhibition #China-#Kenya Youth Hand in Hand was hosted at Mcedo Beijing School in Kenya. Young students gave varieties of performances with characteristics of their traditional cultures.🇨🇳🇰🇪 Hope youth exchange can be continuously expanded.

Zhou Meifen,cultural counselor of Chinese Embassy said the event was aimed at enhancing exchanges between the youth of the 2countries. "We want the Kenyan people to know&understand more about Chinese culture while at the same time the Chinese to know more about Kenyan culture."

We hosted a cultural exhibition at the Mcedo Beijing School located in Mathare, Nairobi. During the event, both Chinese and Kenyans performed popular traditional songs of their countries. We also jointly had a taste of the Chinese Hulusi (A traditional instrument) performance.

A Chinese🇨🇳 company, CCCC found a natural water source during its construction process in #Kenya🇰🇪, and built 2 underground reservoirs on its own initiative. It brings clean water to 5,000+ local families, which frequently struggles with water scarcity due to dry weather.

Agriculture is a key area of #China-#Africa cooperation. Since 2012, 🇨🇳China’s sent 367 agricultural experts to 11 African countries & shared technology applied to 1000 acres of farmland. 400+ seminars have been held for 52 African countries & improved 10000+ talents’ capacity.
