I think Carrick has a solid assistant in Steve Holland.. Seems to really listen to him too. Give them players that they need, with proper tactics and set up and we might be well on our way.

Celebrating a top 4 finish like we are back.⁉️ Where are the standards?? Michael Carrick is this, Michael Carrick is that, I hope this campaign ends with a trophy since y’all are against rebuilding as a top club. Ole finished 2nd and when things went south, no one remembered that. I see nothing more than that in the case of Michael Carrick. This is Manchester United and not Aston Villa who celebrate finishing in top 4 like it’s a trophy.

Amad Diallo hasn’t scored since December 15, 2025, and Bryan Mbeumo hasn’t scored since February 7, 2026. That’s our two starting wingers something is clearly wrong. Yet Manchester United fans aren’t really talking about how Carrick’s game plan might not be working for our attackers. Right now, if it’s not Bruno Fernandes or Casemiro, no one else looks like they can step up.

I'm actually more interested in the fact he plays very good football and develops players.. I honestly can get behind that even if he wouldn't stand up to the board. Yes, he hasn't managed a big club but he's also not championship level.. Just saying.

Man United face Liverpool on Sunday afternoon. Amorim’s Reds went to Anfield and tore them apart in their own backyard. That’s already set a standard this season. Now it’s Carrick at Old Trafford. Different test, different pressure. Back-to-back wins over Liverpool would be perfect… but this one feels like a much bigger ask.

Amorim loyalists are extremely anti Michael Carrick and admirers of Julian Nagelsmann not based on football. They have 2 main reasons: 1. They hate Carrick because he came in and exposed the tactical failure of Amorim after he had convinced people that the team is not good enough to consistently win matches. I remember when Carrick took charge and his first two games were against Manchester City and Arsenal. These people were excited hoping that Carrick would lose his first two games so they could say "Amorim was not the problem." When that did not happen, the demons turned against Carrick and they became proper haters 2. They hate the fact that Carrick came in and started using a back four while also making Kobbie Mainoo a regular starter in the team. So now they want Nagelsmann while hoping that he comes in and benches or outright asks for Mainoo to be sold. That is the agenda they are pushing. These are the demons we are dealing with at Manchester United right now. How can a manager who nearly relegated the club have such a huge fan base?

Reuben Amorim would have created a team that would be difficult to play against for Manchester United! We won’t be a team that will perform this season and go 2 steps backwards like always anymore! Next season would have been so great for us in the league especially! He would have created a consistent team and not a team that runs today and goes back to default settings! It was just a matter of time He was so close!! But another manager can still do it ! If we get it right!
