Most networks make you stake a lot of money to become a super node. Canton does not. To become a Super Validator on @CantonNetwork, you just need to contribute something real to the network. No capital lockup or staking requirement. If someone believes you can drive genuine value, growth, liquidity, infrastructure, ecosystem development, they write a CIP nominating you, the existing Super Validators vote, and that is it. As @YuvalRooz put it, running servers is commoditized. What matters is what you bring to the network. Full clip 👇
February CIP Update!💛 Canton Improvement Proposals (CIPs) are how the network governs itself every change to validators, parameters, or incentives must be formally proposed, reviewed, and approved by Super Validators: ◽️ CIP-0104: Traffic-Based App Rewards shifts app rewards from marker-based activity tracking to real traffic-based measurement (and makes protocol confirmations free) to better align incentives and reduce validator cost friction. This enables a fairer, more scalable app reward system that ties incentives to real usage of the @CantonNetwork.
