Where does the season go from here? Is Saturday a must win not only to keep any flickering hope of Europe alive but also for Eddie Howe's Newcastle career? Or has the Decision already been made?

@CraigHope_DM Surely though, eddie and the coaches are working to get the best out of them, it doesn't seem like it, mind benching them every week and bringing them on at the end is going to give them confidence, it seems hes lost the respect of those he ploughed money into signing

On Woltemade/Wissa... I come back to, "managers don't pick teams, players do". Howe sees far more than any of us in training. He is picking the best team to win a game, of course he is. He referenced Osula training well when asked about Woltemade/Wissa absence - what does that tell you? It's not on Howe to pick them because they cost a lot of money, it's on any player to make himself selectable ahead of rivals in his position. Yes, he signed them last summer (albeit panicked & for inflated fees in final week) but a manager is allowed to change their mind based on what he sees. If Woltemade/Wissa want to play, it's on them.

@CraigHope_DM Another manager would get something out of them, eddies lost the dressing room, they are playing like they want him gone, bare minimum performances each game

💰 Eddie Howe when asked why £124m strikeforce Nick Woltemade & Yoane Wissa again started on the bench 🗣️ "I don't pick the team based on transfer fees. I have to pick the team based on what I see. I thought Will Osula was training well and deserved to start. I thought he played well. He took his goal well. He's got the physical attributes, the determination to do really well."

🚨 Eddie Howe after NUFC defeat at Palace... 🗣️ "Those numbers (25 points lost from winning positions) are incredible. It's blighted our season. The fact we haven't been able to consolidate really good passages of the game, but also to go on and score more goals and continue to attack. That's not the tactical instruction we give the players. We don't want to go 1-0 up and change to a mentality of defending, but we've done it, so I can't say it hasn't happened. But then if you are going to defend, we have to defend better than we did. We gave them few chances, but we still look vulnerable towards the end of the game, and that's hugely disappointing. 🗣️ "The first goal we conceded, I think is self-inflicted. It's not good enough, through minimal threat. And of course the second goal is an individual error with very little time left in the game. There's no way we should have lost that game. We had a younger team today, but that's no excuse. There's enough experienced internationals on the pitch to navigate the defensive aspect well enough"

Nobody automatically qualifies for a #motability car, headlines like this are there to make people think its a simple process, the #pip forms are a minefield, you have to have evidence to back up your claim, its a long process that people think is easy (I'm not a claiment)

Eddie Howe on surrendering leads 🗣️ "Certainly, from my side, there's no part of me that ever wants to take the lead and then to sit on a lead. The opposite. We want to go for more goals. Give over Eddie, we do it every time we take the lead #Clueless #NUFC

I honestly dont give a fuck which players leave #nufc this summer, after so many half arsed performances, they can go and take eddie "the woeful tactician" howe with them and dont let the door hit them on the arse on the way out #Poor #Inept

Last nights result will go one of 2 ways, #NUFC will dwell on it and we will loose the derby or it will give us a kick up the arse and we will batter them, really hope its the latter or they will become even more unbearable, they are going to be right up for it

Newcastle were outclassed by Manchester City this evening. Barely got a kick in the second half. It’s probably time to stop all this talk of competing for Premier League titles and the Champions League in four years. They are still miles behind English football’s dominant force #nufc

“If ever there was a case for keeping VAR, this shambolic refereeing performance was it." To-the-point headline in the Telegraph after the error-filled, VAR-less FA Cup tie at Villa Park. Missed pens, offsides, fouls. Chris Kavanagh and his assistants know they got plenty wrong. But was it poor officiating or they’re simply conditioned to having the comfort blanket of VAR to get decisions right? Probably, a bit of both. Technology was brought in so there would never be another Hand of God, Hand of Thierry or Lampard goal-line controversy. Plenty of mistakes triggered anger and debates pre-technology. The two worst refereeing performances I’ve seen were Pierluigi Collina, Valencia v Everton in 2005, and Tom Henning Ovrebo, Chelsea v Barcelona in 2009. Both pre-VAR. Goal-line technology, quick and accurate, is a huge plus. VAR would be a plus - if used properly and as originally intended. PL interventions are becoming fewer (good) but some interventions take far too long (infuriating). Many fans would like VAR scrapped because it robs/tempers that instant adrenalin shot of a goal and a generation are growing up in the PL not able to revel in the moment. But VAR is staying, clubs voted 19-1 for it. It’s about making it applicable to a fast-moving, emotion-rich game. It’s about making it less forensic, and focused only on catching clear and obvious mistakes. It's about making the Laws clearer. It’s also about investing even more in grass-roots officials and accelerating pathways. On a positive note, Farai Hallam earned plenty of praise from Hull and Chelsea fans for his assured handling of their FA Cup tie. The game needs more of his ability.

Architecturally speaking, this is most likely just a laundry chute from the 2nd-floor bedroom to the basement for collection. It was probably used as they claim, but it wasn't built for that purpose. Evidence: In the video, she claimed the opening goes from the second floor to the first floor, which is false because the first floor has a structural median. It actually goes from the second floor to the basement, as shown in the video. First image: This is where it opens in the basement. Note that the false ceiling didn't exist at the time. Second image: The initial architectural design shows that the wardrobe on the 2nd floor is directly over the basement closet (CL). Third image (in blue): It shows how they removed the closets and created a new kitchen, eliminating the need for the chute from the second floor.

Its time we realised that good players will come and good players will go, we cant expect players to stay forever, they are humans who have a right to move clubs, contracts just improve the sell on fee, if a player wants to move on, let them go #NUFC
