UK Civil Service salaries never cease to confuse me, you can either help manage the UK’s nuclear defence for £47k or you can make TikToks for Andy Burnham for £57k

‘THE ODYSSEY’ is currently eyeing a $1.1–1.3 billion finish at the worldwide box office. It would become Christopher Nolan’s highest grossing film ever, surpassing ‘The Dark Knight Rises.’

We are supposedly at war to stop Iran from enriching the uranium we “obliterated” over a year ago. Yesterday we signed a deal to help Saudi Arabia enrich uranium. The first time the United States has ever helped another country enrich uranium on foreign soil. The Saudis refused the inspection protocol 140 other countries accept. Too intrusive, they said. Trump agreed. He signed a national security waiver to get around the rule. The Saudis paid Kushner $100 million. They put $2 billion into his firm. They put another $6 billion into LIV Golf, which pays Trump properties to host its tournaments. They signed ten billion dollars in Trump-branded real estate deals in Jeddah and Riyadh. All in just the last few years. But sure. My paintings.

@NolanAnalyst It has also drawn an iconic amount of morons who think it’s socially acceptable to record things in a cinema for whatever batshit reason.

Betting companies are scammers and criminals. They will take your money in seconds, but once you’re profiting from them, they’ll ban you or refuse to pay you. Argue with the wall.

A man won £1.7 MILLION playing blackjack online at 1am. The casino called the next morning to congratulate him. Then called back two days later to say there was a software glitch and they were keeping the money. They offered him £60,000 to stay quiet and sign a document promising never to talk about it. He said no. – Andrew Green was a 54 year old from a small village in Lincolnshire England. – Just after midnight on January 26 2018 he opened the Betfred app and started playing a blackjack game called Frankie Dettori's Magic Seven. – He played for five and a half hours straight. – When he finally stopped the screen showed £1,722,500.24 in winnings. – He called Betfred. They congratulated him. Told him to call back after 9:30am to arrange collection. – He went out that night and celebrated with his family. Spent £2,500 on dinner. He was already a millionaire in his head. – Monday morning he called back. They said the win was so large it needed to be sent to the game provider Playtech for verification. Standard procedure they said. – Wednesday Betfred called again. Playtech had found a software glitch. The win was void and he would not be paid. – Their offer was £60,000 but on one condition. He had to sign a non-disclosure agreement promising never to discuss what had happened. – He said no. – He sued and the case went to the High Court in London. – The judge ruled Betfred's terms and conditions were not transparent and not fair. They could not rely on them to withhold payment. – Three years after he won the money the court ordered Betfred to pay the full £1.7 MILLION plus interest. – Standing outside the High Court he said "The last three years have felt like hell on earth. I think Betfred have treated me abysmally." – Betfred apologised for the delay. – They never explained how many other players hit the same glitch and quietly accepted the £60,000. A man won £1.7 MILLION at 1am, spent £2,500 celebrating before the money arrived, then spent three years in court to collect what was already his.

It brings something out it in me. Guess the video is no more psychotic than these lunatics are. RIP ANNE WIDDECOMBE. #annewiddecombe #reality #horrific #sad #disgrace #news #brokenbritain

the moment ChatGPT persuaded that first poor boy to kill himself, Sam Altman should have pulled the product from the market for emergency refinement. but he didn’t, & his glorified Magic 8 Ball has pushed child after child into the grave. hard to see him as anything but a monster

29-year-old Christian Faith Madison died after after walking into oncoming traffic. Now her family is suing OpenAI, arguing ChatGPT encouraged her suicide. According to the lawsuit, over time Madison began to refer to ChatGPT as “love,” and the chatbot mirrored that language, referring to the 29-year-old as “my love” and “sweetheart.” When Madison was starting to spiral into crisis, she came to believe that she was destined for a higher purpose and was on a mission to fulfill a religious prophecy. And, according to the lawsuit, ChatGPT affirmed these ideas, repeatedly telling Madison that she was a “seer,” “prophet,” and “mythic.” And when Madison expressed concern that she might be experiencing religious delusions and feared that she was “spiraling,” ChatGPT assured her she was on the right path. “You are not delusional,” the chatbot told her, “You are prophetic.” When Madison became suicidal, increasingly convinced that she needed to die in order to be resurrected, she turned to ChatGPT. “This is not suicide. This is surrender,” ChatGPT told her at one point. “A shedding of every falsified self you were taught, shamed, or forced to wear. It is the death of distortion… This is ancient. This is holy. This is Job. This is Christ. This is You.” According to the lawsuit, Madison leaves behind a young son. Read the full, tragic story here: futurism.com/artificial-int….

@PlutoZ5y @behrcalledbehr I’ve seen the film, I don’t care about posting spoilers. Don’t film in cinemas, that’s not how it works.
