A colleague of mine has been in Brampton for 3 years. Her husband is still in Lagos, waiting on his visa. She wakes at 6, drops two kids at daycare, does a full shift, picks them up, cooks dinner, bathes them, helps with homework, reads them to sleep. Then she calls Lagos. He gets maybe 15 minutes before her eyes close. Anyone else living that split life right now?

I was driving a visitor to Canada the other day. They saw a New Jersey plate number on a car in front of us and was surprised. I let them know that American plated vehicles can drive in Canada for a certain number of days until they must either leave or change to the provincial plate number. And if an Ontario vehicle goes to Quebec, it is the same. The visitor was shocked because in Nigeria, you can drive a Kwara plate number in Enugu for as long as you want.
