@DKThomp We need more analysis of this edu gap. Why do progressive pols resonate so much less with non-college voters? Also, as a society, I think we agree education is good. But this gap suggests it's in the interest of moderates/rights to, e.g., keep college unaffordable

Some polling numbers 1. Mamdani beat Cuomo by 24 points among college voters and lost non-college by 22; a 46 point education divide 2. El-Sayed leads by 7 among college in this poll, down 22 among non-college; 29 point divide 3. Platner led by 37 points among Maine college voters in NYT polling, but was down 23 to Collins among non-college; 60 point divide (*general election, not primary numbers) A lot of interpretive places to go with this. One is that—for now!—it seems the populist left revolution is creating a kind of leftwing party-within-the-party that might accentuate the benefits and costs of Democrats over-performance among college grads rather than fix it.

@Steven_Hyden Hmmm. I was born in ‘88 and they feel very much a ‘my’ era band? Cryptograms came out just before I started university, Microcastle during it and Halycon just after, all 3 were huge albums amongst my student friends.
