One of the saddest and loneliest walks you will ever do is that from the vets when your dog has been put to sleep. Carrying the empty lead and collar, you then return to a house full of toys and with food bowls. It really is a devastating experience. RIP Ben 2007 to 2016.

South Africa was banned from the Olympics from 1964 to 1988 because it was an apartheid state. The ICJ declared Israel to be an apartheid state, so when does its ban start?

Coachella: Last year it was Kneecap arousing the wrath of genocide supporters through their support for the Palestinians; this year the Strokes featured Israel's genocide in Gaza - and CIA coups - in their show. Good on them, although, tbh, no musician should be silent.
Brian McDonald@BrianMcDonaldIE

The Strokes used their Coachella set to show CIA coups and Gaza footage. They’ll probably never be invited back, and they knew it.

How I'd honestly rate Arsenal at Man City: Raya 5: Edgy, jumpy from the get-go. Mosquera 6: Under duress from Doku, booked early. Gabriel 6: Big tussle with Haaland, won't be happy with either City goal. Should have seen red. Saliba 6.5: Good, but remains uncomfortable in poss. Hincapie 7.5: Did well. Aggressive intent, lacked bit of poise top half. Rice 6.5: Decent by his high standards but no more and finished frustrated. Zubimendi 6: Industrious and secure, form improving. Madueke 5: Not good enough, end product poor Odegaard 5: Should have been replaced, not Eze. Rusty. Eze 6.5: Flitted impressively (if sporadically) into things. Unlucky with post. Havertz 7.5: Prob Arsenal's best player, though late miss will be remembered. Martinelli 5: Graft, but again little craft. Costly lapse for winner.

Always said Cork 2010 were worst foot ball champions of my lifetime (don't consider lockdown All Ireland a title for Tyrone). Think Tipp are worst winners in hurling I've seen. In terms of body of work and not just one game or one half. They're not good.

This takes courage… The Strokes closed their Coachella set flashing images of the governments the CIA has overthrown, the leaders the US has assassinated including MLK 👀, the war crimes the US is committing in Iran, and the genocide Israel is committing in occupied Palestine.

My daughter was in the Arsenal store earlier today, she was only 18 months old when Manninger played for us but this made her shed a tear. Pure class from @Arsenal but the media would rather ridicule us than report this. Our club ❤️❤️❤️❤️ RIP Alex

Damien Duff earlier tonight on Virgin Media reflecting on his time away from football and his decision to leave Shels… “I was running on anger, I stopped being Damien Duff” From being a Top Class Footballer, to an excellent coach and based off tonight’s display he’s also an exceptional pundit! Love him, or loathe him I don’t really care (and nor does he) speaking on any potential next move “I’ve fallen out with every club, every fanbase, I don’t know where would welcome me, but never say never” For me, we need to have him involved in Irish Football no matter what the capacity, he has so much to give and is Box Office in everything he does.. People talk about him going abroad, maybe back to Celtic where he learned his trade or even in the Championship with a club like Blackburn? There’s no doubt in my mind that he’s more than capable of doing a great job abroad too. But selfishly? I’d like him to stay in Irish Football in whatever capacity, because he has so much to give and I don’t think he’s motivated by money one bit. Look I’ve said it before (half jokingly) I’d love to see him do a tour of Irish Football of sorts whether that be the First Division, Premier, the Women’s National League or even Amateur Football?? I understand why it’s unlikely such is his profile but if I think anyone were to do it the man would be Duffer!
