There is more value to having a defenseman like Nikita Zadorov than people fail to admit… The PIMS? That’s part of the package. There are “lazy” PIMS (Hampus Lindholm) and there is “im going to knock your teeth in” PIMS (Nikita Zadorov) — the tone he’s able to set is worth the shortcomings of him sitting in the box for 2mins I would add that quite often the calls are simply Zadorov just being bigger and stronger than everyone else The most important trait? Players HATE playing against him and that’s the DNA and culture this organization prides itself on I’d go as far to say that Zadorov has shown tremendous leadership qualities — not only by what he brings on the ice but answering the tough questions, not shying away from the media…he gives it 100% every night If you want to stick him on the 3rd-pair, that’s fine. I just don’t see why you would be hell bent on sending your only defenseman that’s willing to do the dirty work out the door #NHL #BRUINS #NHLBRUINS

The Bruins are a year or two ahead of the retool. Front office did a good job. They actually have good prospects and 5 first round picks in the next three years. No one thought they would be a playoff team.

Charlie McAvoy was short on explanations for the team’s performance today. Credit (the minimum amount) to him, Pastrnak, Geekie, both Lindholms for facing the music. Your core group needs to answer for a game like that and no one ducked. Doesn’t undo loss but it was necessary.

@TCalauttis The locker room leadership was sold away. 73 & 88 aren’t leaders. 91 always toxic in the room. 27, 28, 70, 73, & 91 are overpaid/underperforming. No 1C. This team needs complete rebuild.

Lots and lots of thought after this one but a few things really stand out: 1. How the hell do you come out in home ice in a must win game and put out that little effort. 2. Your defensive game has been sub-par all season but HOLY HELL was it had today. 3. Some guys on this team that makes quite a bit of money have been borderline silent in this series. 4. I don't want to hear a word about Jeremy Swayman. He made 2-3 highlight reel saves DESPITE the team in front of him today. If you're questioning him at this point you don't know hockey and need to reevaluate how to watch the sport. Game 5 is gonna be VERY interesting. Do the #NHLBruins roll over or do they show some fight?
