That’s not a flaw. As far as the movies are concerned, the only important parts of the Clone Wars (which is basically what you’re asking to see) are how they begin and end. All you need to know is that they’ve been fighting this war for years, and that they’re now good friends. All of which you can easily get from the first 20 minutes of the film. Whether or not that’s enough time for a viewer to get invested is their problem, not the film’s.
