@StangLuverJ @BrandonStraka Potentielly, yes. The handle has sensors so it detects if you drop it too late, marking it as out. By touching the granite, he is able to steer the rock for longer without triggering the sensor.

NEW: Canada’s Marc Kennedy claims Olympic cameras were “premeditated” to catch his team after they were filmed ‘double-touching’ a stone. Sweden says they’ve warned about alleged Canadian cheating for 7–8 years.

**No, in curling you are generally not allowed to touch the granite stone (also called the rock) with your hand (or any other part of your body or equipment) while it is moving, as this is considered "burning" the stone and results in penalties.** The rules from the World Curling Federation (and followed in most competitions, including the Olympics) strictly prohibit touching a moving stone belonging to your own team: - If you (or your equipment) touch your own moving stone **before it crosses the far hog line** (the one at the playing/arrival end), the stone is immediately removed from play. - If the touch happens **after it crosses the far hog line** (deeper in the playing end), the stone completes its path, then the non-offending team (opponents) gets options: remove the touched stone and restore displaced stones, leave everything as is, or reposition stones to where they likely would have ended up without the touch. The only time you deliberately touch the stone with your hand is during delivery — you hold the handle to release it (and must let go before the delivery-end hog line). After release, no intentional touching is allowed. Accidental touches ("burns") happen occasionally, and curlers are expected to self-report them honestly. Touching a **stationary** stone is also not allowed if it displaces it; it gets replaced to its original position (with advantage usually to the non-offending team in disputes). In short: hands off the granite once it's sliding — that's the spirit and letter of the rules!

@Mike17823 @TurnbullDave Read the rule. His helmet made contact with Zach’s helmet. It doesn’t matter if it wasn’t a hard hit. If you hit the QB’s head it’s a penalty.

So I'll admit, I didn't see this in real time... but after seeing the replay, yeesh, that looks like a good tackle. He seems to do everything right. His head is up. When you slow it frame by frame, I guess there's contact? but I would've thought that's a good tackle #Bombers

Let’s talk about an Alberta Pension Plan for a minute. With our young Alberta workforce paying billions more into the CPP each year than our seniors get back in benefits, it’s time to ask whether we stay with the status quo or create our own Alberta Pension Plan that would guarantee as good or better benefits for seniors and lower premiums for workers. I want to hear your perspective on this idea and please check out the video. Get the facts. Join the conversation. Visit Alberta.ca/next

“There’s a Difference.” They’ll all tell you their trophy’s the hardest to win. They’ll point to stat sheets and salary caps, to playoff seeds and clutch shots in bright arenas under brighter lights. And sure, there’s pressure. There’s talent. There’s glory. But there’s a difference. The Stanley Cup is not won. It is survived. You do not hoist it unless you’ve bled for it. Sixteen wins. Four rounds. Two months of collisions at 30 km/h. You tape your ribs. Freeze your shoulder. Stitch your face. You lose sleep, you lose weight, and if you’re lucky—you lose feeling. Because the pain? It’s always there. The path to Lord Stanley is not built for comfort. It’s built on blocked shots, double overtimes, shattered sticks, and legs that stopped working three games ago. You don’t get there with highlight reels. You get there in silence. In cold rinks, on long flights, with trainers whispering: One more game, kid. One more. And when it’s over? No dancing. No parades of champagne. Just a man, sometimes two, holding a silver grail with fingers that can barely grip it. Not because it’s heavy. But because they are done. The Stanley Cup isn’t a trophy. It’s a reckoning. And not every champion is built to earn it.
