@DeaceOnline For further context, he would have lost to the Women's Division one record holders by: 2 feet in the long jump, almost 3 feet in the triple jump , and 6 inches in the high jump. The dude is a joke. I cleared 6' (high jump) in high school and was nowhere near good enough (1980).

@DeaceOnline For context: Boys division 3: Triple jump. AB would have lost by 3 feet. High jump: would not have qualified, 5' 10" minimum. Long jump: AB would have finished outside the top 8 by at least a foot.

Friends, it was an honor to attend Rededicate250 in Washington, DC. There, I had the great privilege of sharing a few words about our nation’s founding principles and dedicating our country once more to God. You’ll find my reflection on the event—and my closing prayer—here.

The Didache was written before most Christians had a "Bible." It had baptism rites. Eucharistic prayers. Bishops. Deacons. Fasting rules. A full liturgical calendar. The structure Protestants call "Catholic invention" was already running. A thread.

“Liberalism is the dogmatic affirmation of the absolute independence of the individual and of the social reason. Catholicity is the dogma of the absolute subjection of the individual and of the social order to the revealed law of God.“ Father Félix Sardà y Salvany

Yes. They read all that and realized no such man made institution could last the scandal of countless sinful men and remain united. Yet here we are … replete with sinners, but yet replete with saints. Only by the grace of God have we remained true and united. So get in bucko, the road is weary, the thicket and bogs wide and deep. There are many battles to wage. Many battles to lose. But there are many graces given and many opportunities to rise in holiness. Only God controls this ship and its captain is chosen. The crew members sometimes heroic and other times cowards. The passengers likewise varied! I wouldn’t trade this journey for anything because this is the Lords ship, He built it. Where else will we go! There is nowhere more sure in the midst of doctrinal waves, no more more right against the storm of heretics! Be courageous, do not be afraid! Get in!

In these days leading up to the Solemnity of Pentecost, as we prepare to relive the mystery the miracle of the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the nascent Church, let us #PrayTogether to the Holy Spirit, Lord and Giver of life. May He grant us the gift of #ChristianUnity, bestow upon us enduring peace, and renew the face of the earth.

“The Sudarium of Saint Veronica”, 1649. This entire image of Christ was engraved into a copper plate using one continuous spiraling line that begins at the tip of Jesus’ nose. No breaks. Just a single line that thickens and thins to create light, shadow, and depth.

Now you are just making things up. Nevertheless, I am grateful that you do admit, perhaps unintentionally, that Christ is “re-sacrificed” at Mass. Ed, I don’t believe you were once Catholic and even if you were in the Church “materially” it’s clear there was no proper formation. This is a claim often made by those who wish to slander Holy Mother Church but who cannot back up their substantive claims. And the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church is the Church Christ Himself created. You cannot accept Christ by rejecting His Church. 1 Corinthians 11:22 “Do you not have houses in which you can eat and drink? Or do you show contempt for the church of God and make those who have nothing feel ashamed? What can I say to you? Shall I praise you? In this matter I do not praise you.” Luke 10:16 “Whoever listens to you listens to me. Whoever rejects you rejects me. And whoever rejects me rejects the one who sent me.” (Christ to Disciples). Acts 9:31 The church throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria was at peace. It was being built up and walked in the fear of the Lord, and with the consolation of the holy Spirit it grew in numbers (Ekklesia Kata Holos). 1 Timothy 3:15 “Church of the Living God, the pillar and bulwark of the Truth.” Matt 10:40 “who receives you received me, and receives Him who sent me.” Matt 16:18-19 (Jesus gives Peter keys to the Kingdom) Matt 18:17 “if he refuses to listen to them let him be as a . . . tax collector” Matt 18:18-20 (binding and loosing; authority given to Apostles). John 20:23 (Jesus gives Apostles the authority to forgive sins) 2 Thessalonians 3:14-15 “if anyone refuses to obey what we say . . . warn him as a brother” #CatholicX

In an ancient little church on the outskirts of Paris, a Korean woman is leading the faithful in song at every Mass. She is helping the Church re-establish its dominance in beauty, transcendence, and hymnography. This is Catholic beauty. This is what the Kyrie should sound like!
