This one turns my stomach. A 13-year-old girl in Hull, out with her friends like any normal kid, crossed paths with an Iranian asylum seeker who’d sneaked into Britain in a dinghy with a mate. She told them outright she was only a kid. Called them paedos to their faces. They didn’t give a toss. They poured three-quarters of a litre of vodka down her with cherry Coke until she was legless. CCTV shows her hardly able to stay upright. Then the pair of them dragged her to a hotel room. He raped her over and over while his mate stood guard outside like the gutless coward he is. The judge said it clear as day: she never stood a chance. Now that little girl is saddled with a lifetime of trauma and nightmares. Human rights lawyers will almost certainly block any deportation, and he’ll probably be out on the streets again long before his nine years are up. How many more of our daughters have to be broken before the Westminster lot stop ignoring whats happening right under our noses and actually protect British children?

You can’t get a $1 million mortgage if you make $100K/year. You can’t get a $75K car loan if you make $35K/year. The fact that you can get $250K in student loans for a college degree where you’re expected to earn $40K/year is unacceptable and a complete failure of US society. We have 18 year old kids making financial decisions that all but guarantee a lifetime of economic insecurity. These kids do not have the capacity to understand the implications of the debt they are taking on. The corrupt university system has successfully convinced them going to college is the “smart thing to do” and that it will all work out. These colleges should have to take the financial hit when they load up 18 years olds with hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt that basic math would tell you will never be repaid. The federal government backstopping all these student loans does nothing but enable colleges to jack up their prices every year with zero accountability. Shameful.
