Fetterman was a Bernie Bro who’s flipped drastically since his election to try to fill Joe Manchin’s old role. He broke his wife’s back in the car accident caused by his erratic driving, and has driven his entire original staff away.

I wouldn’t expect any Dem Senator to be a robotic caucus vote cast for Schumer. What I do expect is some core integrity from someone who yielded the benefits of volunteers knocking on hundreds of thousands of doors in PA, volunteering to make phone calls for his campaign & small donors who provided tens of millions in sum to get a candidate elected. It wouldn’t me revolting to me if he votes the other way sometimes, but it is below the level that he’s pulling this noun, a verb and a TDS nonsense out of his ass for seemingly no reason. Kyrsten Sinema & now Fetterman both got loud to state the Dem party had moved away from their core beliefs. Well, name one major wedge issue the Dem party & Dem majority has flopped on, gone the other way on, in the recent 5-8 years. Just one. You can’t. So, at bottom, Fetterman can do as he wishes. He can cross the aisle right now & represent as a GOP caucus member. He wouldn’t be the first. Van Drew from NJ did it in recent years to survive & keep his House seat. But honestly, would that help Fetterman? PA isn’t a MAGA shithole state. It’s a commonwealth that has trended more toward net blue in recent cycles.

Let me get this straight. The federal government held a legal auction for the right to build offshore wind farms. A company won those auctions fair and square, paying nearly a billion dollars into the U.S. Treasury. The projects went through years of review. Courts repeatedly upheld their legality. Everything was above board. Then the Trump administration tried five separate times to kill other wind projects in federal court and lost every single time. Judges reviewed the administration’s supposed “national security” justification and weren’t persuaded.  So now they’ve landed on a new plan: pay the company nearly ONE BILLION DOLLARS of your tax money to just walk away. Because, and I am not making this up, the president thinks offshore wind turbines are ugly and claims without evidence that they “drive whales crazy.”  He’s been nursing this petty grudge since 2012, when he tried to block a wind farm visible from his golf course in Scotland. Fourteen years later, American taxpayers are footing the bill for it. This is stupid policy. It’s fiscally reckless, strategically blind, and driven entirely by a personal vendetta rather than any coherent vision for American energy or competitiveness. Meanwhile, China is racing ahead, building offshore wind at a staggering pace and positioning itself to dominate the global clean energy economy for decades to come.
