STATEMENT FROM THE CENTURION PROJECT: The Centurion Project was established to train volunteers to be better citizens by partaking in the political process. Volunteers utilized the Centurion App database to find people they know. They did not have access to phone numbers or emails. The Centurion Project relied on a third party to provide us with datasets for this tool. The Centurion Project is aware of recent allegations regarding the app’s data. We have taken action to shutdown the app until we can ensure that the dataset is compliant with Alberta and Federal privacy laws. The Centurion Project plans to fully comply with Elections Alberta’s investigation.

Alberta’s 2026 budget will bring higher costs for drivers, homeowners, travellers and some seniors, as the province projects a $9.4 billion deficit. Here are five key changes with numbers: 1. New vehicle rental tax Starting January 2027, Alberta will introduce a 6% tax on the base price of short-term passenger vehicle rentals seating eight or fewer people. Long-term leases and large commercial vehicles are excluded. The province expects the tax to generate $36 million in its first full year. 2. Property tax increase The provincial education property tax requisition is rising from $3.1 billion to $3.6 billion, a 16% increase. For a median homeowner: - Calgary: about $28 more per month - Edmonton: nearly $13 more per month The education property tax will now cover roughly one-third of operating costs. 3. Tourism levy hike The tourism levy on hotels and short-term stays will increase from 4% to 6%. Revenue is projected at $200 million in 2026-27, rising to $214 million the following year. 4. Other fee changes - Fines for excessive speeding, racing and stunting will rise 30% to 50%. - Apprenticeship, trade qualifier, Blue Seal and Red Seal certification fees will increase to $150. - Provincial historic site admission will rise from $9 to $11 and from $50 to $55. - The previous value-added wine fee is being scrapped and replaced with a volume-based markup increase of about $0.43 per bottle. 5. Senior benefit reductions Effective July 1, income thresholds for the Alberta Seniors Benefit will drop by 9%: - Single seniors must earn below $31,636 (down from $34,770). - Senior couples must earn below $51,706 (down from $56,820). Special needs assistance thresholds are also being reduced. In addition, two caregiver tax credits will be merged into a new Alberta Caregiver Credit. Eligibility will focus on caring for relatives with mental or physical infirmities, and the change is expected to reduce payouts by nearly 30%, saving about $12 million annually.

Alberta’s government has tabled its 2026-27 budget, projecting a $9.4 billion deficit amid lower oil prices and rapid population growth without matching economic gains. Finance Minister Nate Horner noted the province will run deficits for three consecutive years, breaking its own fiscal rules on balanced budgets and deficit limits, with debt expected to reach $109 billion by March 2027. The $83.9 billion spending plan includes increases for health and education to address infrastructure needs for a growing population of about five million.

I sincerely hope that mine is just one of many portraits of Prime Ministers from both parties that will continue to be hung in the Parliament of Canada for decades and centuries to come […] but that will require that in these perilous times both parties whatever their differences, come together to preserve the independence and unity of this blessed land.

To every liberal calling Don Lemon’s arrest “an attack on journalism”, where were you when: - James O'Keefe - Nick Sortor - Nick Shirley - Cam Higby - Savanah Hernandez - Andy Ngo - Steve Baker and many others were physically attacked, arrested, or received death threats? "This is an attack on the 1st Amendment!" No, it's not. Don Lemon broke the law. Being a journalist doesn’t get you a free pass for committing crimes. Plain and simple. Nobody is above the law. Don Lemon belongs in jail. Cry more.

@BagelPolling @TheEndTheEras @LiamNorris25413 Not sure what you're even arguing. PP completely failed to pivot after Carney replaced JT. It was a complete failure by the conservative party no matter how you slice it.

@TheEndTheEras @LiamNorris25413 Trump contributed about 2-4 additional points to the liberals. You might be able to say he fumbled "4 pts", but the liberals going from ~22% to ~38% was just Carney being better than JT which Poilievre had no control over and couldn't do anything about.

🚨 WATCH THIS: I sat down with a journalist who claims to be “left leaning” and what does he do? Edits a 2 1/2hr long interview into 1 hour and cuts out any part where he “looks bad” Journalism is only journalism when you show the truth, when you only post what will benefit yourself and party it becomes propaganda.
