I responded to Jamie Bryson’s call for unionist students to wear Orange Order attire 'retaliation' to GAA tops He says I’ve "missed the point" - despite me quoting him directly throughout You can read my full article online👇🏼 (or in today's @BelTel 🗞️) belfasttelegraph.co.uk/comment/opinio…

If there is anything more tedious than people who refuse to say Northern Ireland it is grown adults who spend their days policing the Internet for when someone happens to say the north.

Jamie Bryson is calling on unionist students at Queen’s and Ulster Universities to “join the culture war against nationalism” and promote their politics aggressively on campus. belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/politics/…

This is just silly. Let’s encourage the kids to just enjoy what they don’t realise at this point is going to be the best period of their lives.

Imagine being so consumed by arrogance, so morally inverted, so breathtakingly ignorant that you look at a verbatim play documenting the largest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust—and decide to cancel it. Not quietly. Not shamefully. But during the very week the civilized world falls silent to honor six million Jewish men, women, and children who were hunted, starved, and gassed into oblivion by the Nazis. You don’t have to imagine it. Ireland’s National Concert Hall—bankrolled by the Irish taxpayer, draped in the language of culture and public service, supposedly a house belonging to the Irish people—did exactly that. With breathtaking coldness. With institutional cowardice dressed up as policy they looked Holocaust Remembrance Week in the eye and chose censorship anyway. @NCH_Music
