@sumoto_iitoko How does it work driving apps in Japan, like Uber? It's common, or do people there prefer taking metro and taxis? If common, is there special etiquette related to it?
@sumoto_iitoko They are not Brazilians, that's just a T-Shirt that is relatively popular in a lot of western countries. They are not very famous in Brazil, neither. I guess.

The Song is considered to be one of the most difficult arias ever written for a soprano. And yet she makes it look so easy, and with such power. And she was only 17 years old when she performed it.
Imagine a circle, with a little spinner on it that you can flick. The circle is 80% red and 20% yellow, like a yellow pie slice. You flick the spinner. It spins, and slowwwly stops. Where did it land?
@Kyle1429364877@TheTinMenBlog Indeed, man. Extremely emotionally charged subject, specially because of ongoing conflict, and also because conflicts in general are deeply tied with shared meaning.
Yeah, I get what you mean. I'm not here to romanticize modern wars. Most of them (if not all) aren't just anymore, they're political meat grinders, not defense of hearth and home. But sometimes, when it's about the survival of a whole people... I don't know, you know? I believe you can't just let your nation be erased. It's fucked up either way.
@AntonSilva2003@TheTinMenBlog That acts almost like a Chronus logic. The act of Titans eating their own children because if not doing so this will lead to their downfall.
I agree with you. A just cause doesn't automatically justify every means. Forcing someone to fight against their will is always morally problematic. Would a reluctant soldier truly benefit your army? History suggests not. The later stages of the Vietnam War, the Soviet army in Afghanistan, and even the Russian army in the early days of the war all showed that unwilling soldiers often have low morale, poor cohesion, and are more of a liability than an asset.
That said, I also believe there is something noble in willingly giving your life for your people and your neighbor in a war you recognize as just. But I mostly agree that willingness must come from the heart.
So kinda grey area.
