The same CJ Maraga who couldn't reform the judiciary made up fully of civil servants that he could fire in the evening? I would be more interested to find out who's behind his candidature.
Murima Maestro🇰🇪@MurimaMaestro
The case of Philomena Mwilu comes to mind when you mention Maraga. Maina Ng’ang’a too walked scot free while Maraga was CJ. I only remember Maraga demanding a Mercedes s500 upgrade from s350. If Maraga’s the change we need, then he should join the opposition to bring change from within.

@GeorgeSunga6 @KinyashCfc @wnyakera @Dr_AustinOmondi Ok then. Kenyans rejected Uhuru's project for Ruto because his regime was evil. Aren't you worried now the same people are saying afadhali Uhuru?

@KinyashCfc @wnyakera @Dr_AustinOmondi Re read my tweet and understand. Your comprehension is wanting. I didn’t refer to this tweet alone. I follow him so I know what am talking about

Those calling for a cut in the Road Maintenance Levy to lower fuel prices are missing the point. The problem is not the levy itself, but the fact that almost 50% of it has already been securitized. Under Uhuru, the RML was KES 18 per litre, generating KES 86B annually to maintain 21,826 km of paved roads at about KES 3.9M per km.
This administration increased the levy to KES 25 per litre, pushing collections to KES 115B a year. But in February 2025, the government securitized KES 7 of that levy for the next 10 years. Then in November 2025, Cabinet approved securitizing an additional KES 5 without parliamentary approval, prompting MPs to call it a constitutional overreach.
That means out of the KES 115B collected for road maintenance every year, KES 47B now goes to servicing debt, leaving only KES 68B to maintain 25,412 km of paved roads. That translates to KES 2.7M per km today, down sharply from KES 3.9M per km under Uhuru.
Fellow Kenyans, the levy is unlikely to come down because it has already been pledged away for a decade. So as the potholes get bigger, you either work harder, or steal harder, and buy yourself a bigger car.

@WehliyeMohamed @AdanMohamedCS The best question to figure out is why he's pushed to the position against the statutes...
English

The first thing @AdanMohamedCS should work on as CG KRA is to review the tax exemptions. Ksh 510B in tax exemptions looks crazy. From VAT exemptions & zero rating to corporate tax incentives to import duty exemptions to personal tax exemptions etc. Hapa ndio kuna ukora sana!
English

@Broadbasedgal Does he know he can get dropped at the request of Odingas? Should tread carefully and ignore notes from the infamous PA who looks like his twin

Actually, the realest elephant in the room is income tax is currently being collected from these formal employees. IT revenue would grow highly if self-employed were made to pay their share & no need to shrink incomes for low earners.
Mojo@being_Fala
@MutemiWaKiama The real elephant is recurrent expenditure eating up 75% of Kenya's budget every year on salaries, allowances, pensions, and overheads. Let them be laid off since nothing is even working in Kenya right now. Their service delivery is a sham , tbh

@NdindiNyoro Truth be told...if today you're still the chair budget committee you would be spewing economics to explain the situation and asking us to understand. Bure wote

This photo was taken this morning in Kieni, Nyeri.
Ignore the Bukusu man, and study the faces of those children walking by his side. When did you last see rural kids reacting to a young politician in this manner, especially if the said politician is in a village 800km from "home"?
Also, I suspect that girl in short sleeves will become a badass politician😁
