@TimTierney Hi @TimTierney , here in beacon hill south, Ogilvie is down to one lane heading west near the Costco between Blair tower and Blair. With all the Costco traffic heading to the highway, it’s a gridlock down to one lane. Something to consider based on volume in that area !
Following this past weekend’s winter storm, the Roads and Parking Services team continues cleanup efforts throughout the city. Next up, snow removal operations! Think about this for a minute: Ottawa has received over 116 centimetres of snow since mid-January, and almost 70 centimetres fell over a five-day period last week. That’s a lot of snow to remove, and the team is ready to tackle it, one curb metre at a time. It’s important to note that given the high volume of snow we have received, removal will take longer than usual.
P.S. Sidewalk plows were converted to blowers due to the amount of snow and only move at one-third the usual speed, so please be patient. Crews are working at full speed.

I think it’s time to take advantage of the open/close door button to the O-Train. No need to keep the doors open at the platform when it’s -25 for no reason. Please?
@OC_Transpo@OC_TranspoHelps
Would it be possible to add on the display board what type of train is coming next like in Edmonton? 1C for one car train and 2C for double trains? Would make it easier to spread on the platform. Just a thought…

@TimTierney@_MarkSutcliffe Please for the love of this city, do not cut funding in public transit, housing and active transportation. This city deserves better.
We are finally working on the root causes and not just the symptoms. Safety-Transparency-Effectiveness-Permanent Solutions #STEPS
This latest setback is incredibly frustrating, but I believe we are taking the necessary steps to avoid these events in the future and provide the service that residents expect - the service that we all paid for.
I remain committed to the goal of providing safe, reliable service for the people of Ottawa. It’s disappointing that we are still not in a position to do that, because of the systemic problems we are still dealing with.
@OC_Transpo Also, not sure who is in charge of communication, but never publicly announce a return date of service before you have all information available. You just end up disappointing everyone when it doesn’t go through. Pretty basic I know but this city can’t seem to get it right.
Afternoon Ottawa,
We have disappointing news to share.
Due to additional track work required to maintain the safety of Line 1, service will not resume this Monday.
