NBA statement: "The NBA has completed an investigation of the Sacramento Kings and Head Coach Doug Christie's decision to foul intentionally late in the team's game against the Golden State Warriors on April 7. The league's investigation determined that Christie mistakenly believed that the Warriors were not in the penalty and therefore instructed his team to foul in an attempt to stop the clock and utilize one of the team's remaining timeouts. The investigation found that Christie made no intentional effort to give the Warriors a shooting foul, or to cause the Kings to lose the game."

@BillSimmons The pro’s in the NCAA play 30-35 games a year no load mngmt no back2backs and their product just seems better to me. Good luck rooting for your team to lose NBA’ers. The pacers are 0-14 in their last 14games and their fans are cheering it, keep that draft pick,sure whatever.

0 for 3! Also — notice how none of the ideas involve shortening the season which is partly how we fell into this tanking sinkhole in the first place. They come up with 3 “solutions” and none of the 3 are “what would 72 games look like?” This league is so frustrating

The NBA presented three comprehensive anti-tanking concepts to its Board of Governors on Wednesday, with modifications expected to each before a formal vote in May, per ESPN sources. 1. 18 teams in draft lottery (seeds 7-15 in each conference) – flattened odds, with bottom 10 teams having an 8% chance, the remaining 20% odds distributed in decreasing order for 11 through 18, and and a lottery drawing for all 18 picks. 2) 22 teams in lottery using 2-year record (seeds 7-15, plus the four playoff first round exits in both conferences). Lottery teams would reach a minimum win total floor in each season, such as 25 wins. If a team falls short of the floor, it gets slotted to meet the floor. Top 4 drawn as part of lottery, as is currently. 3) 18 teams in a "5 by 5" lottery – bottom 5 teams have equal odds for the top pick, with lottery formed for picks 1-5. Bottom 5 teams have a floor at 10; those that fall out of top 5 get sorted in a separate drawing.

Lindsey Vonn said Monday in a post to Instagram that she suffered a complex tibia fracture "that will require multiple surgeries to fix properly" when she crashed in the downhill Sunday. "I was simply 5 inches too tight on my line when my right arm hooked inside of the gate, twisting me and resulted in my crash. My ACL and past injuries had nothing to do with my crash whatsoever," she wrote.
