In response to your question about Masoud’s death: if you ask Iranians who he was, 99.9% would say they’ve never heard of him. He wasn't a political figure at all, let alone someone worth targeting. Plus, he had a dark history at university involving serious misconduct, which led to his expulsion. You should look into those facts instead of asking an opposition leader such a ridiculous question.

An Open Letter from the Iranian 🇮🇷 Diaspora in Portugal 🇵🇹 To our elected representatives, and to everyone gathered with us today: Today we stand with our fellow Iranians inside the country who cannot speak for themselves, and we speak in their place. We stand united behind Prince Reza Pahlavi, who leads our democratic opposition and the cause of a free Iran. The world has heard a great deal in recent weeks about negotiations, about ceasefires, about deals. It has not heard nearly enough about the people. So let us say plainly what is happening. There has been no ceasefire in the Islamic Republic’s war against the Iranian people. That war has gone on for 47 years. In January, when millions rose up, the regime answered with bullets. More than 40,000 of our fellow countrymen were killed. Hundreds of thousands more were wounded. Wounded demonstrators were hunted in their hospital beds. Bodies were collected by dump trucks. That killing has not stopped. As we speak, protesters are being executed in regime prisons. Internet access is shut down across the country. These 40,000 did not die for a nuclear deal. They did not die so the men who ordered their executions could be repackaged as “pragmatists” at a negotiating table. They died for a free Iran. The Iranian people are not represented in any of these negotiations. The figures exchanging proposals on their behalf are the same men who imprison, torture, and execute them. So today, standing with the people of Iran, we call on the world to confront the regime’s crimes through three urgent actions: 1. Stop the executions of protesters. At least 22 innocent Iranians have been executed in recent weeks. Many more await their turn at the gallows. Their only crime was protesting in January. Their executions must be halted now. 2. Release all political prisoners. Tens of thousands of Iranians are being held for the crime of demanding freedom. They include nurses who treated the wounded, lawyers who defended the accused, students, teachers, journalists, and parents who buried their children and refused to be silent. They must be released. 3. Lift the internet blackout. The regime has cut Iran off from the world for more than 1,200 hours. Families cannot reach one another. Crimes go unwitnessed. The blackout must end. To our representatives: we ask that you carry these issues into your chambers, your committee rooms, and every conversation that touches the future of Iran. Refuse to legitimize any arrangement that preserves the IRGC-centered power structure. Refuse to be told that executioners can be turned into diplomats. Stand instead with the people of Iran and respect the leadership they have rallied behind: Prince Reza Pahlavi. The Iranian people are already doing the hardest part. They have had enough.
