It is what it is in #NPFL, how can you explain that the most organized and well funded club in the NPFL was relegated, while Kun Kalifat which struggled with finances survived the drop zone. #NPFL26

Where Does the Money Actually Come From When You Make a Profit on the Nigerian Stock Market? Nobody Explains This Part. Everyone talks about buying stocks and making money. Nobody slows down to explain the actual mechanics of where that money comes from, who is on the other side, and why any of it works. This thread answers the question most beginners are too embarrassed to ask. Read it from the beginning.

Look at the abandoned Enugu railway system. We urgently need to revive our railways and create new ones. Pause a second and imagine if you can move from Enugu to Abia to Anambra to IMO to Ebonyi via high speed reliable trains. Goods can move as well and heavy trucks can be eliminated from our roads. The South East economy will boom. Thousands of lives will be saved. SEDC should focus on this and get it done. If this is the only thing they can achieve, it will be more than enough.

"I went to see this guy and I stayed there overnight. We had a good time. We’ve been talking for like two months, and we decided to start dating barely two weeks ago. So I was like, okay, I’ve never been to his house before, let me go and see him. This was my first time going there. I didn’t sleep all through the night. He woke up as early as 7am and went to work. He told me where to drop his key when I wanted to leave. I’m the kind of person that is very forgetful. I forget things quickly, easily. When he was leaving, he told me, ‘Please help me shut my windows, because if rain falls, it will wet my bed.’ I had to tell him, ‘Please call me and remind me because I will forget.’ After he left for work, I just knocked out. I slept till like 9. I called him and I was like, ‘Hey babe, I want to leave, please send me money.’ He sent me money, and that was when he reminded me to shut the window. I had it in mind to arrange where I slept and at least take the food he got me the night before that I didn’t like and throw it in the trash because I’m sure it had already spoilt by morning. I had it in mind to do all those things, but I forgot. I completely forgot. I left his house without arranging the bed. I didn’t take out the food. I just left. He later called me and was like, ‘You left my house unkept. I came back and my house was sm£lling. The food you ate, you didn’t take it out.’ So I apologized to him on the phone and told him I was sorry, that it wasn’t intentional. He was like, ‘Okay, no problem,’ and we ended the call. I still felt gu!lty about what I did, so I texted him again to apologize. Later that evening, he texted me saying he had thought about it deeply and that it might seem small to me, but it was a big thing to him. He said he was no longer interested in the relationship since we had not gone far, and then he bl0cked me everywhere. He didn’t even allow me to respond. The same person that had been telling me ‘I love you, I love you, I love you.’ This is the first time a man is breaking up with me. I’m always the one that does the breaking up. Please let me know if I am wrong or right...” - Lady shares how her boyfriend allegedly broke up with her after she forgot to clean his apartment after visiting him.

Fikayo Tomori becomes a key reference point as Olu @VibesPatron from Nigerian Football Weekly @NFWPod makes a very salient argument about diaspora talents and their relationship with the Super Eagles. We had an extensive discussion 5 months ago in Morocco on how Nigeria can better position itself to attract top diaspora players going forward. From building stronger connections to improving the overall appeal of representing the national team, the conversation also touched on the importance of branding and marketing the Super Eagles on a global scale. There’s a clear need for a more strategic approach—one that not only appeals emotionally but also presents Nigeria as a professionally run and ambitious football project. The full discussion is available via the YouTube link below. youtu.be/3xlpaJrXDBQ?is…

@obaofph01 This shows that Nigeria problem is weak laws, imagine how this particular law has brought sanity to electoral process, if we can enact more people oriented laws then Nigeria will be on her way to prosperity

When the National Assembly was hurriedly passing the 2026 Electoral Act into law, they didn’t know some of the provisions where highly undemocratic. But the members of the National Assembly were so carried away by the promise of automatic tickets from the President that they were almost ready to turn a man into a woman as long as it pleased the Presidency. It all started when the National Assembly inserted Section 77 into the Electoral Act, making it compulsory for political parties to maintain a digital register of all their members and submit it to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at least 21 days before their primary elections. What that indirectly means is that only individuals whose names appear on that pre-submitted digital register are legally permitted to vote or contest as aspirants during primaries. In practical terms, if a politician loses a primary election in “Party A,” they cannot immediately jump to “Party B” to contest for another ticket. Why? Because Party B’s register would have already been legally locked weeks earlier, meaning the defector’s name would be missing from the register, thereby rendering any nomination he will get in "Party B" null and void. But the National Assembly did not stop there. They knew some politicians are extremely stubborn and can go to any length to get what they want, so they went further to criminalize the process by stating that an individual cannot hold concurrent membership in more than one political party. They also made it a criminal offence for anyone to knowingly register or maintain dual membership in two political parties before the primary season, with a punishment of one year imprisonment or option of fine. As contrary to the spirit of freedom of association and as undemocratic as those provisions were, the 109 Senators and 360 House of Representatives members still accepted and passed them into law because they believed they had secured automatic tickets for themselves. Unfortunately for them, APC beat them at their own game. The same law they celebrated has now become the perfect weapon to stylishly retire some greedy politicians who saw the dangers ahead but chose to keep quiet because of personal interest. Today, with APC primaries taking unexpected turns, many politicians are heading into permanent political retirement after 2027 because they were either not cleared or failed to secure tickets through the primaries. And the funniest part of it all is this: they cannot even complain. Because this is the same law they made with their own hands, and today, that same law has returned to hunt them mercilessly. At the end of the day, a man cannot sow beans and reap rice, what a man sows he will certainly reap.

@Pmarshia @KingOdy @winexviv @OluwafemiMaduka I didn't say he doesn't know the ratio. If he doesn't know the ratio then there's a huge problem. He should do it better when it's not his job? How?

@_Afro_Maestro_ @KingOdy @winexviv @OluwafemiMaduka A civil engineer who does not know how to mix concrete and guide these artisans on the mixture ratio is a quack. That u don't do it, bcos you have those who it is their primary duty does not mean you can't do it when the chips are down. In fact, u should do it better.

@KingOdy @winexviv @OluwafemiMaduka And yes that's true. Everyone has their roles. You don't go to the building site and ask the Architect to lay blocks because after all, he designed the building, or a civil engineer to know how to mix concrete because he's an "engineer".

Dear Nigerians, know the difference between the NDC Nigeria party logo and the NDC Ghana party logo. There is a political party in Ghana called NDC, and we now have NDC in Nigeria too. With Peter Obi and Kwankwaso recently joining the Nigerian NDC, plenty people go dey confuse the two, especially online. The key difference is the umbrella icon for Ghana, and the peace sign (V-sign) icon for Nigeria’s NDC. Know the difference, biko. RTS Biko

@gsbabatunde I understand the place of one being careful and planning for eventualities, But what has gone wrong in marriages these days that people hardly trust each other? Full trust not partial should be an essential part of a genuine union.

I borrowed an umbrella from my Airbnb host in Kyoto. I forgot to return it when I checked out, and realized when I was already on the train to Osaka. I felt terrible. It was a nice umbrella, not a cheap one. I messaged the host apologizing. She responded: "No problem! Enjoy the umbrella. It's yours now." I said I'd mail it back. She said "please don't. Postage costs more than an umbrella. Just use it and think of Kyoto when it rains." I insisted I wanted to return it. She said "okay, but I have a different idea. Next time you see someone who needs an umbrella and doesn't have one, give them this umbrella. Tell them to do the same when they are finished with it. Maybe an umbrella travels all around Japan helping people." That idea was so beautiful I agreed. Two weeks later I was in Hiroshima and it started pouring. A woman with a baby was standing under an awning looking stressed. No umbrella, the baby was crying. I walked over and gave her the umbrella. Told her the story in broken Japanese. She understood enough. She tried to refuse but I insisted. Told her "when you're done with it, give it to someone else who needs it." She nodded, said thank you about ten times, and hurried off with her baby. I got soaked walking back to my hotel but felt good about it. Sometimes I wonder where that umbrella is now. Hope it's still traveling, still helping people.
