We came out massively to vote. And history itself will forever remember the love and acceptance this movement received across Coker-Aguda and Itire-Ikate. But as the saying goes, “man proposes, God disposes.” At moments like this, we must submit with humility to the will of Almighty God and then to the supremacy of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC). To every leader, elder, youth, woman, artisan, party faithful, and supporter who stood firmly with me throughout this journey, especially on the day of the election, I say thank you from the depth of my heart. Your belief, prayers, sacrifices, and encouragement gave meaning to every step we took together. Politics is a journey, and while ambitions may differ, the unity and future of our party must always remain greater than any individual, myself inclusive. I sincerely thank the leadership of our great party in Lagos State led by Hon. Cornelius Ojelabi for the opportunity to participate in this democratic process. I especially appreciate the Chief of Staff to the President, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, for his fatherly leadership, guidance, and steady support to the progressive family across Surulere and beyond. I also extend deep appreciation to all party leaders, executives, ward chairmen, stakeholders, and faithful members who received me, advised me, and stood by me throughout this journey. From the depth of my heart, I also honour my mother, Hon. Medinat Omobolanle Akinyemi-Obe, for her love, strength, and political guidance. Her sacrifices and belief in me remain one of the greatest pillars of this journey. *_To my supporters, I appeal sincerely: please remain calm, peaceful, and loyal to our great party.
