My husband decided to get a secret DNA test to see if our youngest daughter was actually his. If 2 other people were already scheduled for the time off then you are out of luck. You should have made sure your requested time off was approved before booking anything. Just because people have PTO doesn’t mean they can just expect the time off especially if it’s a small crew of people who work in that position.

Anonymous: My manager just denied my PTO for my son’s Spring Break because she is going on a cruise that week and she “can’t find anyone else to work” because another coworker is also taking off for their child’s break … I gave a months notice and already booked the vacation.
