Following the report of an offence in Dartmouth, Kingsbridge response intercepted a vehicle & detained the driver, a passenger fled . Search commenced & he was later located in Ivybridge, where the other Kingsbridge unit chased him on foot until he was detained. 2 in custody.

Almost done here. 10 in custody for Xmas Day: 3 x drink drive 1 x breach of bail 1 x GBH 5 x ABH (mostly domestic) All alcohol fuelled. Some poor decisions and costly mistakes.

Christmas Eve... Very busy across the South Hams and Torbay mainly drink related. An hour and a half into our shift we attended a single car RTC, female in her 60s, 3. 5 times over the limit! Arrested and taken into custody. She thought we should be catching criminals instead.

From this week you might start seeing @swasFT staff wearing body cams - this is due to the recent increase in assaults /violent incidents our crews are dealing with! Hopefully the will act as a deterrent, aswell as an extra piece of evidence to reduce violence and keep us safe!

A little piece of history. WW2 incendiary bomb in Plymbridge Woods. Search officers from Kingsbridge attended, located and confirmed. EOD removed and undertook a controlled destruction. If you find anything suspicious don't touch and dial 999.
