@8L1NDS33R He was not under legal duress however. If he refused to give any code, they would not have arrested him. They just would have seized the phone for future decryption attempts. The Fifth Amendment shields you from having to give an unlock code. But giving the self destruct-Nope.

Best part is...the man being prosecuted gave the duress code coz he was under duress. He didn't even touch the phone... "When Tunick provided his passcode and the authorities entered it, 'the screen went blank, flashed several times and the phone appeared to restart.'" 😆😅😂🤣 So, he's charged for the feds nuking their own investigation. Huge win for @GrapheneOS 10/10 execution.
Lain on the Blockchain@CryptoCyberia

Will be interesting to see what happens in this legal case with Graphene OS. I believe 5th amendment protects citizens from giving uo PINs, but no idea if non-citizens are breaking laws or if the duress PIN changes things.

@curtis_yarvin Can you please give more advice to people with normie levels of personal power but we're among the 10% of Americans that are actually sentient? I bought land and I'm homeschooling my kids, and I fenced my land. So we're partly ready for South Africa. How do we **avoid** SA tho?

The funniest part of Covid was the time the hive mind changed its mind because Trump changed his mind. In February 2020. When he came out as a Covid dove. All these professors and journalists had zigged. Then Trump zigged. They had to zag. Destroy everything that exists
Jacob Shell@JacobAShell

Though I'd sensed something was off for years prior, COVID was the first time I realized academia had been completely leveraged as an epistemic support system for one party. If there's a crisis and the choice is between sticking to previously stated theoretical principles, versus serving the party, academics will serve the party. For example: there was a very obvious "Latourian" way to analyze the whole saga of COVID, emphasizing runaway incentive dynamics in the grant system as a way to understand the disease origins; intra-institutional political-jockeying among different scientists as a way to understand why some "finding" about origin, spread, treatment, and relationship to other social problems became Settled Truth one month and Debunked Pseudo-Science the next; what to make of masking as public health policy vs sociopolitical performance; what to make of "biopolitical" revolts like the Canadian truckers... Well, despite Latour being one of the hottest names to cite in the humanities and social sciences during the 90s, 00s and 10s, academics--including the the ones who'd built their whole careers as "Latourians"--weren't doing *any* of that! Basically they were just nervously hitting "refresh" on the NYT main page to tell them what COVID opinion this month would make them "members in good standing" of the party coalition, and then attaching their authority ("as academic experts") to that opinion. Academics were downstream of the NYT and the NYT was downstream of DNC deliberations about what side of highly contentious and ambiguous debates regarding masking, flight cancellations, lockdowns, vaccines, origins, protests and rioting, etc etc, to get on in order to best position itself against Trump. Nobody was really supposed to say anything that wasn't implicitly useful for Biden. The doubly servile partisan role academics were being asked to play--and the eagerness with which most embraced this role--was shocking to me. And the consequences have outlived the crisis. It REMAINS the case that academics cannot write an insightful account (historical, sociological, etc) of COVID. It's 2026, and it remains the case that *even* having to acknowledge in published writing that there's a very good chance the disease came from lab (with support from a US grant) completely scares almost all qualified academics away from writing about the topic. And how can you write about COVID "as history" or "as sociology" if you're scared to discuss origin?

@tetrisgm @jsuarez Skirmish. Yes it's spamming soldiers. In orig, there is an AttackDelay=5 so PufferLib got 100% wins on all maps and difficulty by learning to do an immediate rush. So it took work to make it hard enough for PufferLib to have some challenge in this limited scope version.

@LPNH I think you got this slightly wrong. They're fine with those acts happening to us. So it's not about first principles about acts. It's about White genocide. This is the final turtle under all the other turtles.

We want a society with 0 people like Sharmake Omar. Can we expel him personally? "No that's aggression" Can we voluntarily pay for an enforcement agency to do it? "No that's fascism" Can we at least call him mean words to let him know he's not welcome? "No that's indecent" Left-libertarians should just admit they support a society with infinite Bomalians because they oppose any act that would stop them.

It’s interesting how the libertarian “right” preaches high trust societies and hates degeneracy while promoting personal responsibility, yet also gets upset at self-restraint and decency in order to create those very societies. The Libertarian “right” needs to do much better in order to be actual rolemodels and organizational leaders if they want to be taken seriously.

The UN must immediately issue a global ban on all DC barrel Jack connectors that aren't 5.5/2.1mm Include a 90 day amnesty on all other DC barrel connectors that can be returned without questioning your reasons for using them. All connectors must be promptly destroyed. All CAD footprints must also be removed from libraries. After that it is a mandatory 10 years in prison for anyone caught with illegal connectors or footprints. 15 years for importation or sale. And 25 years imprisonment and 100 lashes for new product designs using anything other than 5.5/2.1mm. We need to take this threat to the sanity of the human race seriously. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

@DoDeportations It's already hard enough to imagine starving someone elses' kids, but the other thing they suggested? Only a leftist would think of that. And only a leftist in a failed nation would feel safe to say such a thing. In a sane world that's an instant death penalty.

@yacineMTB controlling ourselves is what got us from where we were in the 90s to where we are now I did get a bit taller in that time. If I control myself I might at least hit 6 foot and be desirable to women. Granted, I'd be a tall non-chud, so their desire wouldn't change.

If technology isn't open and made available to all, if we don't have freedom over the technology we rely on, it will be very, very bad. If our infrastructure cannot handle it, we simply need to come up with ways to handle it. Maybe our infrastructure is just dog shit

It is incredible how far the Democratic Party has moved politically. Just listen to @BarackObama on immigration 20 years ago. @HillaryClinton spoke similarly back then. The question of course is why. The answer I believe is not a change in fundamental views, but rather a tactical one. At some point, the Democratic Party believed it had a higher likelihood of staying in power if our country had open borders. When did this take place? What was the catalyst for this reversal of views?
MAZE@mazemoore

This might be the most amazing one yet. More from Senator Obama on immigration. Obama not only said that illegals must not be allowed to work here, he went one step further and said that employers should be forced to prove that they offered the job to American citizens before they are allowed to hire guest workers. Democrats today would call this racist and xenophobic.
