@TurnbullDave I always thought school musicals were a great example of playing your role for the good of the team. The Lead, backup singers or stage hands - Different spotlight but equal value. Also a great way to build community and respect!

When I was in grade 12, he brought the entire high school bball team to watch our school musical. Weird, right? Bball players watching a play? I asked him about it and he said it was a lesson in teamwork. How actors depend on each other for the next line. Brilliant @Kirby_Schepp

@Kirby_Schepp Alba would generally trap or hard hedge pick and rolls to the single side, tagging the roll with the high man on the two side

Great examples of "Next" pick and roll coverage by Alba Berlin where the top player on the two side takes the ball handler coming off the screen. This is a tactic we're seeing a number of teams utilize at the Olympics.

@_AndyFitzgerald Might modify like this: 300m run fast as you can followed by 100m walk. 4 sets = ~1 mile total take total time to complete all 4sets as your measured assessment.

@_AndyFitzgerald 1 mile=Good-aerobic endurance + can define anaerobic threshold for athletes that push themselves. Basketball is a game of repeated bouts of varying intensity exertion/rest periods. The ability to recover quickly is important as is your max output level before it becomes aerobic.

There is no reason for basketball players to run the mile. Agree or disagree?

👉 Pass / Shot Read This may be the most important decision players make in games. Hold on to the ball a split second too long and your teammate isn’t open anymore. Hesitate on your shot, and the defense has closed the space. Training players in situations that it’s not just a shot every time, they have the pass / shot decision makes a huge difference when it comes to translating to game situations. Work on the things that happen the most in games 👍

At u19 World Cup this summer(many of the same officials) it was rarely called. They call it MUCH less than they do in Canada. I was told that as long as the get in front and attempt to play the ball it is not a "take" foul.

Can we stop saying taking a charge is “sacrificing you body for the team”? Mostly it is just running in front of someone, leaning backwards and falling down in an exaggerated way.
