@AGA_Gastro Based on our discoveries, we have now opened a new, biomarker-driven, Phase II clinical trial clinicaltrials.gov/study/NCT06044… to test this novel treatment strategy, and will be recruiting patients soon. Anticipating that our efforts will bring new hope to these patients

A few years ago, we discovered TGFbeta signaling as a novel therapeutic vulnerability in these cancers and pursued to therapeutically target this particular network (published in the preeminent @AGA_Gastro PMID: 30768984, PMID: 35934060).

Esophageal adenocarcinoma is an increasingly prevalent and lethal cancer. The vast majority (~80%) of patients succumb to the disease within 5 years of their initial diagnosis, and to date there r no effective/durable treatment options.
