I’m still listening to Tucker Carlson’s interview with Mike Huckabee, and there is a lot significant historical misinformation that needs to be corrected. One of them is when he claims that Lord Balfour made his declaration while Palestine was under British Mandate. That is simply not true. The Balfour Declaration was issued in 1917 by Arthur Balfour. At that time, Palestine was still part of the Ottoman Empire. The British Mandate for Palestine was not approved until 1922 and did not go into effect until 1923. Second of all, no one on this fucking earth has a right to promise or give our land to anyone. Not Britain, not the League of Nations, and not the United Nations. And definitely not a US ambassador.

Occupation is merely a result of belligerant pocession (from Jordan's illegal occupation) Sovereignty is disputed. Israel's claim rests on the terms of the Mandate and uti possidetis juris. Well founded law.

Not an endorsement of Israeli policy, but I don't understand the "international law" take on this. The WB was Ottoman until the UK grabbed it. Then the UK walked away and Jordan's UK-led army seized the land in contravention of the UN partition plan. The WB in fact never existed until that point; the borders = nothing more or less than the advanced positions of the UK-led Jordanian army. Then about 20 years later, Israel kicked out Jordan, and at some point thereafter, Jordan renounced its claim to the territory. The Ottomans are gone; the UK washed its hands of the territory; the Jordanians got kicked out and also washed their hands of the territory. So who's sovereign? Perhaps the country that controls it?

Again Zionists were not promised the mandate of Palestine. The British were given the mandate as were the French given other mandates such as Syria and Iraq. Temporary governance after the fall of the Ottoman Empire. All the mandates were to be given independence and all were except Palestine which the Zionists have illegally oppressed, terrorised, occupied, murdered and stole ever since.

The borders of all mandates have officially been confirmed as part of current international law (ICJ Namibia opinion) . The British had no authority to carve out 75% of Palestine and give to Hashemites.

Finally. Arabs only first came in the 7th century, as part of the brutal Arab Muslim conquest of the Middle East. They are the outsiders, the occupiers. Persecuting non-Muslims today as they persecuted non-Muslims for 1,400+ years. Finally, the State of Israel is proclaiming the one and only truth about the one and only indigenous people to the land of Israel! History!!! Oh, and by the way, check the archives, before 1948, when world used the term Palestinians, it referred to the Jews! That’s why the headlines back then screamed ARABS INVADE PALESTINE!!! @MichaelShurkin Modern international law has shifted. It is now widely held that sovereignty resides in the people living on the land, not just in a formal government structure. The lack of a formal "State of Palestine" in 1967 does not negate the Palestinian people's right to the territory.
