PFA Scotland has already raised the issue of “clubs investigating clubs” and now there is an urgent need to review the regulatory framework regarding unacceptable conduct regulations and investigations, in order to secure transparent and independent outcomes which support player safety and the good of the game. The circumstances at the weekend cause us to directly restate our view that PFA Scotland should be part of a review into the regulatory framework applied to “unacceptable conduct” to ensure that the interests of the players are paramount and that their safety must be the number one issue when independently regulating these challenging issues.
